I ran across another great youtube vid this time the best/worst of SNL ranked down to 140!



I never knew Gilbert Godfried was on SNL, does anyone remember him then? I know why I didn't know, according to this list he is ranked #137. Pretty awful!
This was the 1st vid that came up on him. But my standards, this was unfunny, not clever, just filler space.



Any favorite comics? least favorite? Favorit themes reoccuring skits welcomed!

I am not too sure of his reasoning according to this video. On one hand he said he didnt want his mother to see him in a skit with a thong and a spear, but then on his own decided to play a gay cop.
So mom would dig that? Or was this Eddie-Murphitits? Thinking he as a rookie could just waltz in and say I am new- let me do my own or else...
That wasn't eddie. Eddie had to make their stuff funny before he could do his own stuff.

Fair play to Damon in the video who stated Lorne Michaels was right to fire him because he let his frustration out the wrong way. I interpret to mean he was young and smart, but young doesnt come with wisdom. That takes time.

I think I fell off the watch list right around the time that Mad TV came around . Will Sasso as Kenny Rogers was enough to cause a change of shorts. But SNL always has a spot. One thing is for sure Eddie Murphy as Gumby and Mr. Rogers would NOT fly today . Being fired may have set Damon up perfectly for In Living Color which was friggin hilarious but had such a short run.

When Belushi put in the word to get FEAR an SNL gig . Only to have stage 'fans' moved aside and local fans and Ian Mackaye brought in from clubs to yell 'New York SUCKS'. Whoops..banned for life!
