i hope eddie doesn't drop bam's level of competition trying to build bam into an attraction

He could blow shows in TX up! Maybe he can dip down and they can do Martinez as a big attraction. But that would require him making weight

yes bam could be a major attraction in texas shows, i just hope we don't get a string of undeserving defenses to milk that potential

Estrada and Chocolatito need to make the 3rd meeting happen and sort it out. See who wants to hold the torch to Bam to see if Bam is ready for that step. Have to think Bam takes another fight before years end in the interim.
Yup, no way Chocolatito’s feet match Bam. Absolutely no way. I think people picking Chocolatito in this matchup are not even considering the matchup. It’s a beat down and it won’t happen because matchmakers know that.

Which I hope is not a slight on Chocolatito. Chocolatito himself would probably take it, given his career path. He's one of those champs I admire that have always taken on all comers... always. But let's face it. He's 35. Ancient for that weight division. Bam is a fresh-faced 22. Lots more gas in that tank. Question is... would it still look like a beatdown had they faced each other in one of these theoretical prime vs prime encounters?

it is also chocolatito's fourth weight class & people thought he was finished after the second srisaket fight & that was almost five years ago. i'd prefer to see chocolatito win the third el gallo fight & retire. but if by some chance chocolatito v bam fight before the end of this year i'm taking chocolatito

Good point. Even more admirable. He's been champ in the lower four weight divisions. Surpassed the late, great Alexis Arguello in that regard.

I'd have to think about a fight with Bam, though. I might lean toward Bam, but I can't see it being a "beatdown."

if someone wants to say i am not considering the match up, that is fine but i have mentioned bam on this site well before this year & am well familiar with him

No, Chocolatito was an animal. I mean no slight to him. Just, like you said, he’s ancient for his size. But people are suggesting he would beat Bam now, and I don’t know how they can watch Bam move and draw that conclusion
