Speed - Crawford
Power - Spence
Footwork - Same
Defence - Crawford
Ring IQ - Same
Chin - Spence
Body punching - Spence
Versatility - Crawford
Endurance - Spence
Resume – Spence at the weight but Crawford P4P
I think both fighters are strong at the weight. Crawford has beaten better fighters overall particularly at the lower weights. This is the biggest fight of the year and long overdue. I think Spence strength will win the fight over 12 hard but close rounds.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Bigger fan of Spence, Crawford is just so difficult and Spence is so chill and straight forward. Feel like I could be good friends with Spence.
But I’m taking Crawford in this. I just feel like he’s more natural. Spence follows a game plan masterfully “I’m going to do this” and he does. But inevitably a point comes where decisions and adjustments need to be made in real time, not between rounds or any break.
I hope Spence does his thing and Crawford can’t stand up to it. But Crawford is a good counter puncher and can do damage with single shots, and finish. I’m taking Bud, sadly. And if he wins and anyone doesn’t have him number 1 P4P their opinion is meaningless.
But let’s go Spence!
Spence has to beat Crawford.
It’s not about Crawford it’s about Spence finding a way to beat Crawford.
Crawford has that Sugar Ray/Roy Jones/Floyd Mayweather sweet science that comes along every now and again.
Spence beating Crawford is more of an upset that Crawford beating Spence.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

I’m not a fan of Crawford behavior at 147 because of his choice to join Top Rank and avoid the top guys at PBC.
Regardless, he now fights the top dog at 147 with x3 of the belts to make him a potential undisputed 147 champion.
Crawford is the favorite in my eyes because of his ability to adjust and his switch hitting style.
If Crawford wins he is P4P number 1 and will knock Usyk off the top spot.
If Spence wins he must go straight to Charlo and beat him for undisputed.

Seriously torn on this still and will likely remain that way. I just cannot get around the thought of Spence having a single fight in two and a half years. Spence is going to need to be the aggressor, he's simply not going to be afforded the backfoot patience to outbox Crawford. Just a helluva level to "shake the rust off" and we've seen how that is a tremendous detriment for even the very best fighters. Saw some last Saturday. Also do not like Spence having the delusion of talking about facing Canelo. Man get your head clear. Your plate right in front of you is already overflowing! I'm pretty heart (Spence) vs mind (Bud) right now.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
when you are boxing and you both jab at the same time your jabs will run parallel.
but when you are boxing with a southpaw and you both jab at the same time your jabs will become obstructed and essentially cancel out.
thats why when a southpaw jabs he can keep you from throwing your jab just by throwing his jab.
when a southpaw jabs his jab will cancel out your jab. when errol spence throws his jab he is basically trying to keep you pinned down. then when you are being pinned down by the jab thats when he can start hitting you with the bulk of his punches. the jab is his lynchpin. take away his jab and you will take away everything with it.
i always guessed that the punch that beats spence is the counter right hand to the body when he picks up his right elbow to throw his jab.
when he picks up his right elbow and steps in to jab, which he does a whole lot, you use his momentum and meet him with the counter right hand to the body, specifically to the liver. why guys don't do that, well, thats anybody's guess. but thats always the punch you throw when you are boxing with a southpaw who is stepping in with his jab.
now when a southpaw is boxing with a southpaw he may not want to jab so much, because instead of his jab pinning you down and laying a suppressive blanket on top of you to keep you from punching back, his jab just opens him up to a completely new set of counter punches. he doesn't just get to do southpaw stuff; now he really has to box.
Good posting to educate us dummies, well done yuzo!

I don't get to watch boxing much these days but I'm super excited for this fight.
Have just been reading through the posts here, I had no idea Spence has been out for so long. That's absurd.
Just to add to Yuzo's post, I've seen Crawford throw back hands under his opponents jabs and the scary thing is that he can throw to the body from a very upright position, with a lot of weight behind it. I totally agree, that punch is a problem for Spence.
I used to be a big fan of Danny Garcia's ability to punch with opponents. In a lot of ways, Crawford can also do this but on a much higher level.
This fight is going to be hell for Spence unless by some miracle, he pulls off a raid early in the fight when Crawford is still doing some calculations, I honestly see him getting hurt often and probably stopped.
