Well, do they? Is it common for fighters to lose their teeth while fighting? Do they all have in implants or dentures?

Just asking if it is part of the game or no?

I have noticed fighters like Nigel Benn and Bernard Hopkins put their dentures back in when they were being interviewed after their boxing bouts. So believe it must be part of their occupation to lose their teeth and break their noses. I am sure all boxers have broken noses. The only fighter I know that did not have a broken nose was Hector Macho Man Camacho as he often bragged about it.

Ok... so missing teeth is a thing. Wow... you need commitment to this sport.

Didn't Mayweather get his little tooth knocked out? Poor ol Spence just cut to the chase and replaced half his grill by driving drunk. I randomly remember Bruce Seldon doing an interview and his tooth went flying out answering a question Must have been a sign of things to come . It's something I've never thought about.

Does a fighter with dentures or partials leave them in or out and is there some rule? Does it add more stability with the gumshield?

I am sure they take their dentures out. There would be better stability with having gum shields moulded to their own teeth.

Yea... so the consensus is that most of these guys are toothless. I can imagine so because of the punches to the mouth and face. You never think about it though? lol...

I know many boxers that have all their teeth. Most of them that i know, in fact, from guys with a handful of fights to world champions. Almost all of the street guys that i grew up with are missing teeth. Many of the guys that I know that do bareknuckle boxing are missing teeth.
My back teeth are messed up on the left side, and my bottom teeth are piling up on themselves. This is because of a distinct misalignment of my jaw on the left side, which is a result of me getting cracked by a right hand in a non sanctioned bout. I got jumped on the street at some stupid hour when I was 18 and it didn't hurt at the time, or ever, really.

Boxers have to also deal with perforated eardrum, fat lips, broke noses, facial cuts, and hand injuries.
