Seems Eddie Hearn wants for Haney to fight Rolly for the WBA 140-pound title.

    I have a better idea.

Why don't Haney, Rolly, and Ryan hold their own "mini-tournament" at 140 for the WBA strap?

Whoever comes out on top can call themselves "The Face of Boxing."

Prograis, Matias, Taylor, and Lopez need not apply.

This will be a private party.
how bout they just give ismael a rematch first?

Speaking to the 3 Knockdown Rule, Arum revealed that he has not had any conversations with Devin's manager and father Bill Haney, but this has not stopped the 91-year-old detailing his plans for the young American star.

"I haven’t talked to Bill about it," Arum responded when asked about Haney's next move.

"Bill is doing what a manager should do, he’s a father, but a manager also and that’s to look for the best opportunity for Devin.

"I’ve come up with three in my imagination, one maybe the winner of Taylor and Teofimo at 140 if he wants to go up in weight.

"Secondly, there is a fight with Shakur, that would be massive because everybody would want to see that fight.

"And third is the rematch (with Lomachenko)."

Former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder has reportedly joined Oleksandr Usyk in signing with Saudi Arabia's Skill Challenge Promotions.

Wilder has been out of the ring since beating Robert Helenius last October via a first-round knockout. This emphatic victory followed his year layoff after his trilogy bout against Tyson Fury.

'The Bronze Bomber' was previously affiliated with Al Haymon and Premier Boxing Champions but he stated earlier this year that he is an "open agent".

ProBox TV are now reporting that he is set to join Skill Challenge Promotion and 'his arrival is expected to be formally announced next week'.

Wilder could be followed by Devin Haney, as the undisputed lightweight champion is 'on the verge' of signing with the Saudi Arabia-based promoters.

The report claims 'those in boxing circles expected Haney to re-sign with Top Rank' so this move 'represents a significant shock'.

Following his victory over Vasily Lomachenko, Haney is expected to move up to super lightweight and he could fight Teofimo Lopez or Regis Prograis next.

PGA golf and now getting into boxing even deeper. I'm actually surprised they haven't tried to purchase a major league franchise or host the playoffs yet..

The lightweight division is heating up, and there are plenty of exciting possibilities for Haney, Lomachenko, and the gang. Haney could stay at 135 and defend his title or choose to move up to 140 for a new challenge. If he stays, a rematch with Lomachenko would certainly be an intriguing option, but fighting Davis or Stevenson would also bring some fireworks to the division. As for Haney's first opponent at 140, someone like Prograis or Taylor could make for an electrifying showdown. If Lomachenko stays at 135, he could continue to dominate the division or even drop down a weight class for a fresh start. And if Haney moves up, we could see an exciting race for the undisputed throne at 135 with the remaining contenders.

It's definitely gonna be an exciting one to watch! I'm not sure what's in store for the lightweight division, but we can expect Haney and Lomachenko to continue to put on a show. It's gonna be fire, no doubt!

Saw Prograis mentioning of all people Broner . Dunno if he's playing games but as a fan it really does makes me rethink him more on top of the 1st gear drifter performance clocked in with Zorrilla. Confidence of other top 135/140 cannot help but soar thinking about Prograis going on 35 but I'm also not ready to write him off on a close ugly win. But a used up Broner isn't it .

Shakur Stevenson has revealed that he's rejected an initial offer to fight Devin Haney next.

The former featherweight and super-featherweight world champion won his first fight at lightweight in April and is now calling for a shot at the undisputed king.

Haney holds all four of the WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO world titles in the division.

In May, he narrowly outpointed Vasyl Lomachenko to retain his belts and has since discussed the possibility of moving up in weight for his next fight.

As he is a free agent after completing his three-fight deal with Bob Arum's Top Rank, Haney can take his time and figure out the best option for him.

However, there are huge possible match-ups for him, if he stays at lightweight, against Gervonta Davis (represented by Al Haymon's PBC) and Stevenson (represented by Arum's Top Rank).

With Davis currently in jail, Devin's father/trainer Bill Haney recently met with Arum for talks again and Stevenson was no doubt one of the topics discussed.

Now, Stevenson has taken to social media to explain that he's received an offer and rejected it.

The 26-year-old first sent a cryptic tweet in which he strongly hinted he was talking about Haney, but did not confirm it.

It read: "Nah, I’m not gonna take 25 per cent, but you knew that already, be realistic."

Seems like a token offer. Bill Haney low balls Shakur with a 25% offer knowing he would reject it. Posturing... This way they can say, we tried to fight him but he doesn't want to fight. You never take that low ball offer or all you will get for the rest of your career is low ball offers. Haney figures he took one and now he can write his own ticket. In an ideal world, that notion is pretty wholesome. But he only got the percentages he wanted against Loma, because loma came off a layoff, then a mediocre performance and would do whatever to get his belts back. Loma had taken lower than his highest price per fight, for a while to that point. The Haney ego must be a family trait.
Watching Haney is like watching paint dry and at times, watching Shakur is like watching someone clean the brushes. The talent level between the both of them is what makes this fight appealing. Shakur knows this. No one is paying to watch Devin jab his way to sparring match title defences, like Bill Haney thinks they are. Especially with questions hanging over him after the Loma fight. In the grand scheme of things, champs are devaluing belts and the organizations now (as evidenced by the spence comment). The belts good for negotiating table because the casuals use them to gauge the watch-ability of a fight once its a mandatory or already agreed to.
Thirty-five percent seems about right. (Says we respect you, but I'm the champ. I'm in the light but you've been in the shadows recently) --25% say we're not trying to fight you but we need to keep our names relevant and keep people talking. 30 says we're not scared of you, but we have the belts and you have to bow down... Which is a hardball approach but works if you're catching someone at the right time.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.
