By calling yourself Dmitry Bivol for starters.
But seriously, you have to be able to match him or near match him at close quarters and for power while having better boxing skills to enable you to counter Beterbiev coming forward.
Bivol is a great counter puncher , who is capable of controlling the ring on the back foot , which is not easy.
But he’s not just that, he throws plenty of combinations, not 1,2 , but punches in bunches.
Bivol doesn’t have concussive power, but as long as he has enough to keep Beterbiev honest, that’s all he needs.
If it’s not enough, well , back to the drawing board.

Great question. A lot to take away from last Saturday. I don't think he gets enough credit for much improved hand speed. He's not a caveman he can really vary speed on his short combinations and he does it coming forward. Rarity today. And they all seem to connect with the same thump.

stay off the ropes and turn him into corners? You better have fast but also sturdy footwork. Blindside upper hooks? Forget punching down on that cranium but smart/sharp enough to look for and work cuts? Sounds crazy but maybe a guy who can punch between him...and mooove. He seemingly gives you the frontal set up but he has mastered his feet to match his hands and is great at positioning the opponent. He's a very strong based fighter. Pray a lot if that's your thing. Maybe bring a bat and football helmet if all else fails . Can't forget he's been hurt, been dropped before.

Beterbiev is a very underrated boxer which is overshadowed because of his 100% knockout record.

Artur controls the pace and distance of his contest. He slowly and systematically takes apart the resistance of his opponents with his destructive ram rod jab. Beterbiev punches are efficient and attack effective throughout his fights and should he beat Bivol and become undisputed gets his name mentioned with the greats in the division.

I would set a high tempo to get Artur to work at an uncomfortable pace that he would not be able to match. I would tie him up when he gets too close and stay at a safe distance from his jab, not allowing him to get into any rhythm.

You need some power to get some respect from him and stop him walking through you. You need fast hands to get your attacks in and good footwork to stay out of trouble.

To beat him you must be special or catch him when he gets old.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.

it's noticable how much his hand speed has improved. i'd start with gettng a big ring, your going to have to have a great chin & stamina. footwork & movement are key. you might have to make it an ugly fight by tying up everytime artur gets close. counter & tie up. not pretty but can be effective. easier said than done
