Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
It's a bloody joke.
Jake Paul is really not a very good fighter, but he is big, fit AND 26 YEARS OLD.
People are peddling a Tyson narrative that was no longer true in 2004, never mind 2024.
Yes, he was a ferocious force of nature (and does anybody think a 26 year old Mike Tyson would in any way struggle with Jake Paul), but he was pretty much shot by the time he fought Neilson in 2001. His desire, his technique, his stamina and his chin had already gone then.
He is a 58 year old man, for chrissake. He has spent the past two decades away from the ring, heavily smoking weed. He will gas out after about 4 minutes at pace. His chin will be glass by now ...... and is anyone forgetting that he collapsed with a perforated ulcer a while ago and lost nearly a stone in weight. He is not even a healthy 58 year old.
His only hope - beyond survival - is to go all out and ambush Paul at the start ...... oh, wait, 2 minute rounds and 14 ounce gloves ......
This is a ridiculous spectacle that is nothing at all to do with boxing, and it's downright dangerous.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
The craziest thing is hearing more than a couple wide reaching boxing "journalist" still blowing smoke up Jakes arse as a positive for opening doors to "new casual fans" and keeping a straight face when giving him credit for learning . Rather than a glorified well-known influencer who's 15 minute gimmick needs respected boxing names (sadly in name only now) to keep his carnival grift afloat. This thing is the debut for another streaming site dipping its toe into boxing and instead of co featuring one of the hottest rising contenders, #1 #2 #2 ranked Shu Shu Carrington, his fight will not actually be aired on Netflix. But a second women's fight after Taylor-Serrano II will be. How many of those "new casual fans" brought in by Paul do you think will go hunt down the fighter with an actual future in the sport on some streaming site or youtube?

It won't happen - the contract won't allow it - but I'd love Tyson to ko him early and hear all the idiots then say he's back and he should get to fight the usyk fury winner.
All these saying how awesome he's looking when he shadow boxes fresh air for twenty seconds......
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate
I haven’t seen the actual clip, but from what I’ve heard , Bellew has embarrassed himself for a few quid from Paddy Power.
Former Undisputed 4 belt Prediction champion. Still P4P and People’s Champion.

The first Amanda Serrano v Katie Taylor fight was brilliant and closest I have seen Katie getting stopped.
Credit for Katie in taking the rematch but feel Amanda Serrano will win this in another classic.

Good thing this is on Netflix.
Looking forward to the Serrano-Taylor fight. The rest of the undercard looks decent as well. A bit of morbid curiosity regarding the main event... just hope Tyson doesn't get seriously hurt.
Nunes is a YouTuber?? Damn... there's a lot of that going around nowadays.
Caught Carrington on youtube in undercard opener. Looked very solid with the shutout over 8 vs Dana Coolwell scoring knockdowns in the 4th and 8th rounds. On a sidenote and not to be outdone by 58 year old Tyson...59 years old Oliver McCall makes his ring return next week . Pretty sure Jakes ears just perked up
Rematch is def watchable. As well as Barrios defense. By then hopefully the captains kicks in and I forget everything else on the card . Crazy thing, Netflix hasn't buffered once so far. Compared to both Dazn and Espn+. Best case scenario is the Tyson-Paul charade ends in an injury ND or something. He may very well legit "I broke my back" this time.
