I don’t think Crawford is unappreciated. I think basically he makes it difficult for fans to back up his ATG Status because of inactivity and lack of big fights over many years.
Despite not fighting anywhere near enough, he has still been seen as P4P #1 or #2 depending on opinion for many years.
As for being an ATG, again, I think he blew that through inactivity, bad promotional decisions and crap match ups.
You had the 4 kings fight each other regularly and Crawford beating a non prime Spence.
He is super talented, great to watch and probably a generational talent.
Former Undisputed 4 belt Prediction champion. Still P4P and People’s Champion.

When he was 5 years old, his father died. At 16 he dropped out of school, and by 17 he had already lost four jobs. At 18 he got married

Between the ages of 18 and 22

He was a railway engineer, but failed. He joined the army and got kicked out and returned home. He attempted to enter law school, but his application was rejected. Then, he became a salesman but was fired again.

At 19 he became a father. At 20 his wife left him and took their daughter. He started working in a small cafe as a cook and dishwasher, but was fired again. He spent much of his life doing odd jobs.

At 65 he retired and received his first government check of just $105.

He realized that he could not meet his family's needs with that amount. Disappointed and disgusted by his life, he told himself that he had accomplished nothing and tried to kill himself, but failed at that too as the overdose didn't work.

Sitting under a tree, he began to make a list of everything he had done in his life and realized that it hadn't been entirely a waste because he excelled in one field

    COOKING

So, he borrowed $87 from a friend and started frying chicken, selling it door-to-door to neighbors in the state of Kentucky.

Let's remember that at 65 he was about to kill himself, but at 88 Colonel Sanders, founder of the Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) empire, had become a multimillionaire.

It's never too late for anything.

    Restart...

Only your attitude towards life events can determine you.

    Never give up!

I agree with this, although I think Crawford would've been too much for any version of Spence. Prime or non prime.

Yeah I agree. But we will never know for definite.
The same as we will never know how he would fare against Leonard, Hagler, Duran , Hearns , Your namesake AND Floyd.

Crawford beats Floyd at welterweight quite easy.

Very much this. And it's not a slight against Crawford or denying obvious top tier talent. If anything, it's a fans frustration that it's been so sparse and inconsistent. You're as good and as 'big' as your shared opponents many times over. Now he's reduced to in a strange way hoping for a Canelo spectacle to cement "greatness". Playing catch up at the tail end and almost cutting himself short in a way. He was and is so much better than that. And in fairness it's not exclusive to Bud in this current era. 135 is an example in potentially two of the very best running parallel to each other rather than staking claims ala the 4/5 kings.

Nah. And when I posted Floyd’s name, I knew you would come up with that comment.
How can you say he beats him “quite easy” when no one ever beat Floyd quite easy?

Crawford beats everyone quite easy. He has that style that makes everything look smooth and graceful.

Young Andy Cruz getting everything he can handle and more from Antonio Moran into the 7th. Not exactly looking sturdy and fluid here, trying to box sharp.

Cruz with strong 8th. Just belted Moran in quick turn around and closed the show well for ref stoppage!

Card is flying by! Anderson v Bakole up. Great forum participation for this "historical" card . Morrell looked ordinary with the w.12 over Hotrod.

He's lucky that came at the rounds end. Anderson recouped moving well in 2nd but still getting clipped. Bakole is swatting from the parking lot. Sharp jab from Anderson but Bakole ignoring them. This feels like a matter of time until Jared gets hurt again unless Bakole has a shat gas tank. Fast-paced 2nd.

Anderson getting some back in 3rd but still like Bakole. Jab working for Jared buts he's needing to fight every second of every minute here. Lots of missing by Anderson as the 4th comes to a close. Round Bakole but closer
