Ok so I want to start boxing in amateure but i think im screwed because I wear contacts, will a punch On the eye move the contact causing HUGE irritation in whatever eye I am hit in? Also, if i take my contacts off, im about -2 so its ish blurry, unless I fight within 3 feet I can see him perfectly,but farther than that, im dead. Any ideas and whether to leave on or off?

im not sure bout boxing with them in man, but i dont know people with arms much longer than 3 feet have u tryed sparring with out first to see how u get on and gauge it from there?

No not yet, ill give it a run, or ill just get surgery and take my chances.... :s

I spar alot with -3.5 in each eye, i take my contacts out for sparring, I find it fine

i where contact lense when i box there is no problem wearing them just make sure u get daily lenses cause they do fall out every know and then which becomes expensive when wherin monthlys ,
i dont think ur aloud to compete in them but want the ref dont know dont hurt them.

had my eyes checked the otehr day and got 6 in boht eye wt does this mean?

I wear contacts also, does anyone know how long you have to wait before you can box after the lasic eye surgery??!?!!
