During the post fight press conference in the aftermath of Jermain Taylor’s huge upset of Bernard Hopkins for the undisputed middleweight championship of the world, Bernard “The Executioner” Hopkins and Oscar de la Hoya told the assembled media that the rematch would happen and HBO had already set October 1, 2005, as the date. This fight is not signed and sealed as yet, but it looks like a return bout will happen soon. Hopkins was coming on late and a sequel would have many intriguing questions.
