Boxing Info: Winky Wright Vs Sam Soliman 10th DecemberBy Boxing Press October 8th, 2005 All Boxing Articles, Press ReleasesSam Soliman – Winky Wright Stuart Duncan today announced that negotiations had been successful with the Soliman – Wright fight slated for December 10 at the Mohegun Sun Casino in Connecticut . Sam is ecstatic to be finally getting a shot against a quality true champion like Winky. For 2 years we’ve called them all out – Hopkins – Taylor – Trinidad who have all had different plans. Then along comes Winky. Soliman on Winky “He is a true champion whose tight defence and counterpunching style has conquered Mosely & Bronco McKart twice – Angel Hernandez – Frazier and his most recent victim Felix Trinidad. In my opinion, Mosely was frustrated as was McKart who struggled with Winkys style, Trinidad fought a stupid fight & Hernandez is custom made for Winky. What I can tell you is that he has fought no one like me, I am the master at causing frustration – not receiving it. While I will not divulge how I intend to tackle him, I will say that I will take Winky to places he aint ever been before. Lets see how Winky handles the frustration. I expect it to be a non stop battle with plenty of punches thrown to the end. Other than this I will let my fists do the talking come December 10. Soliman will now spend much of his time in Camp at Troopers in the Grampian Mountain ranges while he prepares for the biggest fight in his 38 fight career then head over to the LA 3 weeks prior to acclimatize and some final sparring sessions. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Dan Goossen – Gary Shaw, HBO and of course Winky who in our eyes will always be a champion because he’s prepared to duck no one in his efforts establishing self as one of the sports pound for pound best.
