Red hot super bantamweight prospect Gary Davies is one of the most exciting young fighters on the British scene today.
“I’ve finally got the title shot against Jamie McDonnell for the English Bantamweight title!," he told SaddoBoxing today in an exclusive. "It’ll be at the Leigh Sports Centre on the 17th April.”
An excited Davies said that he was getting big support from his workplace and had just landed a couple of sponsorship deals so things were definitely looking up for the St. Helens man.
Davies impressed when he made short work of former British Bantamweight Champion Martin Power in Dublin in December.
The seriously ‘fired-up’ Davies dominated the fight from the start forcing an early stoppage over Power in round two.
Davies’s record stands at 8 -2-1 (6).
