Default Whats next For Jeff Lacy and can he come back and dominate???

Guys,Whats next for Jeff I find it hard to believe he is all done and cant come back and be great...Granted JC dominated him but jeff never backed off and kept coming forward he showed a lot of heart and a granite chin and never wilted in the face of adversity.. you cant be taught those things it is part of your fighting spirit......He can be taught to jab and box better...A long rest is needed I believe he will be back strong he is very mature and well rounded...

    What do guys think??

I don't think Lacy is of the David Reid's mentality, so as to not recover from his first lost.

i really want to see lacy come back because i really think he is an excellent fighter....give him a warm up and then put him in there with kessler, lacy can raise his stock again...im sure of this....

just because calzaghe did that to him does not mean anybody else will

We will know more when he gets back in the ring. He needs to box a little more and set up his power punches better than he did against Joe. He has the tools to be a champion again, it will all depend on his mental state.

Lacy is exciting against sub-top boxers, but against top boxers his skills are simply too poor.

From now on he will be nothing more than a new gate-keeper as Sheika or Pemberton.

i disagree. lacy can be a champ again. calzaghe is the only man that can beat him hands down...

Just because Calzaghe handed him his ass does not mean anyone else in the division will simply because no-one comes ANYWHERE NEAR JC! As long as he learns from his mistakes, sets up his punches better and probably most importantly, has the mental aspects in place, then he will become champ again and I don't see anyone that can stop him.
Would love to see him fight Kessler!

Id like to seem him come back, i think he just needs a few easy pick-me-up fights to get him back on track. I highly doubt there is anyone else in that w8 who can do to him what Jc is, truth be told i think Jc could do what he did to lacy to pretty much everyone else there.

Kessler has at least the skills of Calzaghe and MUCH more power, imagine what would happend to Lacy in such a match-up.....

Kessler, is that the same guy who is open for a right hand every time he jabs? No offense but Lacy would probably beat everyone on Kessler's roster and would probably have the sae trouble against Mundine.

I like Lacy alot, and thats why I think he probably shouldn't fight Kessler... I see him having a chance against Kessler like I did against Calzaghe, but in the end I think he loses just by what I've seen of Kessler, and what all his opponents have said. Eric Lucas said next Roy Jones Jr. Kessler is the best person he's ever fought. I think Lacy will get beaten up just as bad as against Calzaghe vs. Kessler who is faster than Lacy, has a jab which Calzaghe didn't really have, and he hits harder than Calzaghe not to mention has close to if not as much skill as Joe.

He still looks green....he finally fought someone who wasn't afraid of him and exposed this greenness(is this a word?) it seemed like he was wearing gloves filled with lead...everytime Joe Calzaghe blistered him with punches he was like a statue..not knowing what to do or how to react....I think he has the potential to be a great fighter but in a couple of years....work on his boxing skills....
It feels good to be back home.
