The both top Jr. Welterweights around the same time but never fought. Does anyone know why? Two slick southpaws couldve made an interesting fight...or a really akward one.

Psalm 144: Blessed be the LORD my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle
because mayweather stole mitchell from zab
i guess he made more money off the mayweather fight then he was gonna make off the judah fight
It would have been a real interesting fight though...
Two slick, speedy and skillful southpaws.
Hard to know who to pick for the win... I might lean slightly towards Mitchell by decision... sorry Sal.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHA
zab is faster and hits harder then mayweather who managed to dominate mitchell, zab KO 2
Zab looked a lot faster after about the 5th round once Mayweather started cracking his melon assed head didn't he?Originally Posted by SalTheButcher

he looked alot faster the whole fight, and he STILL was faster in the 12th, the one round mr miyagi gave to him
The main reason, IMO, was that Mitchell had already lost to Tszyu, and, instead of risking a fight with him, Zab took the unification with Tszyu. More money, and more recognition. After that, Mitchell was only looking to fight Tszyu because he was undisputed. After the move to welter, Floyd got to Mitchell first.
zab was supposed to fight mitchell, it was on boxrec like 2 months b4 the PBF fight, i think PBF offered himn a better purseOriginally Posted by Unknowndonor
Zab would have knocked Mitchell out and gotten no credit whatsoever thats why.
Kostya Tszyu came in and destroyed both of them physically and mentally! After that both these guys spent all there time trying to get a KT rematch. Not thinking of each other. Its a shame..... would of been better watching these 2 go at it, neither of them gave KT any probs, it was a SLAUGHTER!
Zab hits harder at least.Originally Posted by SalTheButcher
Judah and Mitchell always talked a better game than they could deliver. This fight would of turned out like Judah-Corley. Big talk before the fight, but little action.
If they fought right now at welterweight, I would pick Zab by KO in the later rounds. Yes, Zab has more one punch power than Floyd, but he is not as accurate in my opinion. Floyd wears people down quicker.Originally Posted by SalTheButcher
In their prime though and at junior welterweight (like the topic creator said), Mitchell by decision. He had the type of style that would start to mess with Judah's head after a few rounds in my opinion... sorry again.
