I dont think he wouldve beaten Hatton easily, but remember when Kostya quit it was a pretty close fight. A few years ago Kostya wouldve won a close decision. Kostyas specialty has always been slick boxers though. High output guy like Hatton and Phillips would always give him problems

Hatton has the style to beat him.....maybe if he was a few years younger he would of gone the distance.

KT was old AFTER Hatton beat him.

Its idiotic to call someone old once they lose to a fighter with decent skill.

I think it's just a style match up... Hatton had his number and still used a bunch of dirty tactics.. I think maybe what was really overlooked is that Vince Phillips beat KT in the same fashion when he was much younger, and he did it more convincingly, actually stopping him cleanly.. Was Phillips a great fighter?? Not really, he just beat Tszyu... He never beat anyone else.. Sadly I think Hatton may turn out the same, I really don't have many expectations for him after that performance.

Tszyu was slower, and seemed not to land any clean blows like usual against Hatton. I don't believe it was age neccesarily judging by his fight before that one, but that Hatton frustrated and tired him out. I could see Hatton really pissing off Mayweather as well because his tactics would make Mayweather complain which is exactly what Hatton would want.

LOL, Tszyu was coming off the second best win of his career, he was far from shot. Hatton was superb that night; same as Collazo gave it one hell of a shot this morning, and Hatton was not quite at the top his game,; and yet Hatton still managed to get the W to his name

I think this was always going to happen, every fighter has a close fight in their career; but Hatton won; he has not become a bad fighter over night.

The problem and sometimes good thing about these forums, is a lot users only react to events as they happen. You need to assess Hatton on his whole career and potential, not just on his worse performance.

The secret to being a good fan IMO, is not to be fair wheathered, I should know, i always liked Dennis Andries

exactly...i've never like Hattons tech...cuz its not how we do it in america [or most of the world i think]...holding/hitting is for the street...not the ring...never liked Hatton...not him personally but his dirty way of fighting...its just not true boxing...its desperate

Watching Hatton and ZU was like watching a 3 legged race. They were tied together for the whole "fight" and I do mean fight and not boxing match. The ref of the Collazo fight revealed Hattons weak spot, his inablilty to fight a boxer unless he could hold on. That ref did a hell of a job. The ref in the ZU fight must have had some good money on the bout or was related to Hatton in some way or maybe just a big fan of the UFC.
