Default Joe C. vs Kessler...you decide

Take a look at the records of their competition.
hmmm, seems one fights guys with not so great records while the other fights guys with very good records. If these two every get in the ring together i know who my money is on.

Don't just say things hoping that Royal will see and cut himself... I think Calzaghe would be too much in general and overwhelm him with speed and volume, but you can't just say it would be a cakewalk automatically, Kessler has alot of power and a very good jab, and is also a very good boxer... Lacy was 1 of 3 in those areas... If Kessler trained like a demon there's no reason the fight couldn't be super competitive, imo.

Huge fan of both Kessler & Calzaghe...but Calzaghe would smoke Kessler.

No matter how well Kess trains...he's just got to many open ended flaws that he relies on his chin & power to cope with.

Watch him fight. He backs out with his hands low & he ALWAYS throws his power shots, backs out, drops his hands, & checks the work...big mistake from Kess that Calzaghe would capitalize on.

Kessler has to be the one doing all the leg work.

Check out the Mundine fight & the Siaca fight. He was fine walking them down...not backing up though.

It might be a cagey affair for a few early rounds, but Calzaghe's output and speed would begin to tell from the 4th onwards....Calzaghe would work a relatively simple UD IMO...

I'd take Calzaghe, because I'm not really sold on Kessler yet because he has really fought much top compition. But Kessler has the size & power to make things differcult if he is for real.

CC. I could make a post but it would be saying the same exact thing.

    right back.

Really dig on Kess...but a fact is a fact. His defense is so leaky...makes me wonder if they should add a gotdam plumber to his corner.

JC via UD OR stoppage,I don't know how good Kessler's chin is and it needs to be good,he'll be getting hit alot. I also think he comes across as wooden and slightly robotic, you need to be mobile to beat JC.

(next opponent) Doesn't count... for all we know Joe C. is fighting some one like Winky Wright or Glen J.

Why is it pointless comparing records at this point in time? The thread assumes that they are going to fight [u]at this point in time...

Unless you love Kessler so much you've made a time machine to freeze Joe Calzaghe in till Kessler is ready to fight him its anything but pointless.

If Manny Siace is on Kessler's list... why isn't Chris Eubank on Joe C.'s list? Thats who they both got their titles off... yet it only goes on Kessler's list?

Sorry... you're to Biased to be aloud to talk about this any more...

i have seen Kessler fight in three Championship fights, he is a good danerous boxer, but he wouldnt live with Cazlaghe, it's as simple as that.

The fact is that if they fight at this point in time then their records at this point in time are extremely relevant...

And it would help us all if you where to tell us what exactly it is that makes you think Kessler would beat Joe Calzaghe...

Other than him being from Denmark...
