I agree, i think we'll see Witter bang on the money for this fight - recently he has struggled to get excited and, this time around, we'll see what he's all about.
Corley is a great fighter and is probably the favourite and is better than a lot of the division's other fighters.
I wouldn't go as far as to call Corley a great fighter, seeing as he has lost every major fight he's ever been in... but he has also never been embaressed or beaten too badly, so there is definetly room for Witter to impress here... Corley is a great natural counter puncher, but he lacks any finishing touch whatsoever, and he has a relatively low output and pace for the most part, so I couldn't see him winning a decision even against Witter... However Corley is a guy who has put Cotto and Mayweather on queer street, Floyd for just a second but it still is no easy task.. And as for Cotto, man... He had miguel all over the freaking place, if he had just put some punches together at the right moment he would have won.. I remember watching the fight and thinking Cotto was so done.. Anyways, I think Witter's chin will be the biggest factor here.. I don't know anything about it either.. Has he ever been hurt badly?Originally Posted by CityOfGod
Witter is a little overrated. But Corley is pretty close to being shot. I expect Witter to stop Corley.
Witter better not choke here. When he was beating Battiguia or whatever the name was he was at his prime. Since the Ndou fight he hasn't done what he should, he knocked Ndou down twice and broke his hand, he needs to pull the trigger in this fight. Stopping Corley would be a huge statement
A good solid match-up. I'd like to see Witter stop him, but can see it going the distance
The Best There Is, The Best There Was, The Best There Ever Will Be
Looking at his record, Corley's been in with some decent names, but as another person mentioned, he hasn't come out with any decent scalps.
I hope to see Witter with a mid fight stoppage, but with Froch v Reid on the undercard, that sounds like a top notch bill and I hope i'm not working!
