Shannon had great potential and given his talent at that time his combination of Speed and Power and Size was amazing. I mean he was quick for a guy his size. He was like 220 then. Well here goes, he rocked lewis in the first round and even had a great 2nd round as well keeping Lennox on the defensive, but timely flush shots left and right by Lewis caught Shannon and eventually ended the fight with those bombs.

If Shannon had a chin like Rey Mercer, I don't care about his boxing skills; Speed, Power and Size could dominate the HW then. Also, his stamina is very questionable, he like to knock guys flat out early so when he faces opposition that can withstand his early assault he's already in trouble. His skills will improve given time if he had continued and gained experience if he continued to battle top ranked heavies.

Should Shannon fight Wlad right now at his present condition(around 270), His speed is gone, the speed that gave Lennox troubles in the first two rounds. Wlad's skill is too much for Shannon if that speed is gone and with his style, Shannon would tire out quickly and that would be the end of him. Still I am not counting him out also because of Wlad's chin, he has the power to do it.

Anyway, I hope this fight materializes and hopefully it would be a competitive fight so the heavyweight division can have some excitement back.

Shannon has a punchers chance

Shannons only chance is to get him early, if not then he loses by late (T)KO. at 270 Shannon will have less stamina than Wlad.
