Thread: Wlad and Brock speak...BRIGGS THERE!!!

Well I like that Shannon showed up at the press conference, I also liked the fact he thought he got screwed out of fighting Wlad (when it was his F****** choice to not fight him anyways!).

I would LOOOOOVE to see this fight come to fruition, Briggs is tough, he's poweful, he's VERY DANGEROUS....he's probably the toughest fight out there for Wladimir and I think Wlad would just beat him from pillar to post after waiting out his power!

I guess Briggs is thinking "I almost got Lennox, maybe Wlad will be easier to KO"

Wladimir was still VERY respectful and Jesus how can anyone not like the guy, he gives money to build schools in Africa, he's a doctor, he doesn't brag about anything...he's the coolest dude ever

Anyways, Wladimir has a better jab than Lennox, he's got a quicker right cross and a better left hook....I think Briggs' defense isn't all that great, it's similar to what McCline uses and Wlad busted through that.

Also Wladimir just had a very good close fight and came out on top...the last time Shannon had a good close fight was either vs Sedrick Fields or Frans Botha....we all know he got shut out vs Jameel!!!

Personally...I think Briggs is a douche bag. He acts like a fool. Too much talk.

I think that his size would give Wlad issues...but he'd compensate for it sooner or later. I'd give Briggs a shot in the start...but if Wlad got past the 5th or 6th round it'd be all down hill for Briggs after that.

I don't think Briggs would start out fast like he does vs bums...he didn't start out too fast for Sergei.

Just like Jameel McCline I think big guys with power scare him and let's face facts, he's not the guy who fought Lewis anymore! He hasn't been the same since then and I think Wlad would not only break Shannon's heart, he'd rip it out and eat it while it was still beating

I can't blame Briggs for marketing himself successfully. It wasn't as if he was doing it ala James Toney verbiage.
Strangely, the most annoying thing that I find about Briggs is his damn dreadlocks.

I'm not a fan of Briggs but at least he isn't scared to enter the same room as another current Heavyweight Champion. I think it was Stewart that prevented the Briggs v Klit fight because he was scared of a Briggs KO and needed more time to work with Wlad. It is great news to hear both Klit and Briggs pushing for Unification its about time.

And Shelly Finkle that supposedly kept it from happening. 100 percent done?

...they offered Briggs 1 million dollars, he took A LOT LESS to fight Sergei.

Don King threw a wrench in the plan by offering Lyakhovich to him, DK wanted Valuev to have Madison Square Garden....too bad it didn't happen

Well, I think that it's safe to say that Manny is a bit apprehensive about Briggs. After all, this is boxing. One punch
can send the fat lady home before she even makes it to the chorus.

Nah not really....sure he goes "kamikazi" but what about when the guy he's fighting can punch back just as hard

Shelly Finkle wasn't making the fight happen when he said it was 100 percent done. Don't blame Briggs for getting tired of waiting.

What do you mean? Wlad had the Garden set for Nov. 11th for freakin ever!!!! What Briggs can't actually get in shape for a fight?

I doubt Briggs REALLY wants to get in the ring with Wlad. I have a feeling he will hold onto his WBO belt for as long as he can. He will continue to act like Mr.T just to sound like a big man, but when it comes down to it he just wants money and he will do whatever it takes to make it. (and honestly I dont blame the guy).
