Default Frazier to make charity return

Former world heavyweight champion Smokin' Joe Frazier will step back in the ring on Thursday night.

He faces the mayor of Memphis in a three-round charity exhibition bout. His opponent Willie Herenton is a former amateur who hung up his gloves 40 years ago.

Frazier has continued to train throughout his retirement and is the same weight as when he faced George Foreman back in 1973.

The fight is expected to raise $100,000 for a local drug treatment program.

I wouldn't want to step in a ring with Joe Frazier, even now.

...but if I did, at least I would always have a good story for why my nose is on the other side of my face

:appl: Yup Joe will always be one tough hombre.

I wonder how he managed to arrange it. I would love to step into the ring with Ken Livingstone, the alleged mayor of London, and smash his ginger left-wing nasally whining bleating, social fascist bigoted face in

No. His voice annoys me and I don't like people who try and force their own views and opinions on me as if there is no other viewpoint allowed. I don't even live in London anymore and he now annoys me from a distance.

    Plus he is ginger.

I find this sentence hard to believe. He was barely over 200 lbs back in the early 70's if I remember correctly.
Anyway, for this charity fight, I hope they take away the cutmen and replace them with a guy operating an oxygen tank.

Yeah, Brian Kenny almost killed Joe by not
calling "TIME!" to stop him from hitting the heavybag. hehh
It wasn't even hard hits, but he was struggling.

Your right, they are going to need an Oxygen tank.
Cancel the exhibition fight, I say.

Yeah I saw him punching the heavybag on ESPN2 (Friday Night Fights, I believe) and he looked pitiful.
