WBC mandatory super featherweight challenger Humberto Soto is demanding his that WBC world champion Marco Antonio Barrera face him next as stipulated at the WBC convention

Soto is the biggest sleeper in that weight range for sure. That's a complete fighter right there and he definitely deserves a shot.

Totally agree,CC. Peeps see 5 losses and misread it,those losses came when his training was not finished,when he had poor camps,when he took fights on short notice. Now he has a stable camp,was Erik MoRALES chief sparring partner for a year and is now looks like an excellent fighter. I don't think MAB wants this guy at this stage in his career,too high a risk,too low a reward.

I can see where you come from on that. But you have to think in terms of MAB he needs the biggest fights going, he aint got long left. If he takes a fight with Soto and loses it will leave him in the shit. If he fights with Marquez and loses it a bit different because everybody knows him as a mexican legend. IMO! Soto should fight a bigger name i.e Alex Arthur. This would give him a boost to back up what he is saying more and i feel MAB would surely fight him. But he aint as know as JMM and if i was MAB i would prefer to fight JMM than soto!

how big is this soto world wide then, or even in the us? coz apart form the last few days wher ehis name has been brought up, i don't think he has ever been mantiond or showed in the uk...

agree with barrera looking for big name fights now, with JMM, Pac, guzman etc about i can see him wanting them first.

I don't think Soto is that well known at all but before MAB beat Juarez twice,Soto busted up Rocky,so if Soto must be thinking if MAB is going to give a guy(Juarez)I just beat up on a chance,he should give me 1 too and second,Soto is MAB's mandatory.

No chance he gets the fight any time soon. Way too much risk, way too little reward.

I would be a bit surprised if MAB fought anything but big fights now, too little time for fights like this.

well pac was his mand after the morales fight, that soto second and arthur third, so with pac out of it now, it has to be arthur lol

Soto is a tough fight for anyone at feather or super feather, but MAB should handle him.
