I think the strategy Winky used against Tito was almost the same as with JT. He was more aggresive with Taylor though and I think he'll fight Hopkins that way cause as Taylor showed, it's better to be on the offensive against Hopkins. Again though, Winkys lack of power just might make Hopkins more busy than usual. I wasn't as impressed as everyone else seems to be with Hopkins performance against Tarver. He just came in with his head down throwing the right hand that lead to a clinch and then he punched Tarver in the kidney all night with wichever hand was on the other side of the ref. Tarver was just not good enough to adjust and he quit just like he did against Eric Harding in that despicable showing.

As much as I enjoyed Hopkins over the years, I think he should have stayed in retirement.

Of course. If he actually can beat Winky, which I don't see happening at his age, it would only encourage him to continue.
Given, Hopkins hasn't taken much punishment throughout his career, but he has already secured an amazing legacy. I don't
understand why he would want to jeopardize that.

I think Hopkins could breach his defense as well because if Taylor was able to hit Winky and Quartey were able to you have to guess Hopkins is able to however, Taylor threw alot of punches and still Winky was never hurt in that fight. If Hopkins lands one or two clean punches a round I don't see that being enough because Winky is going to land over 10 a round against Hopkins. I think for Winky its best to fight as close as possible to Hopkins to smother Hopkins' punches. However Hopkins a freakish body in which he is tall but his arms are 22', and he is very good at fighting on the inside... far better than Taylor. I think this is a great fight, but if Winky can pressure him we will see if Hopkins as the ability to fight like he used, and if thats the case is it enough to beat Winky.

I think this could be bad idea for winky being at a higher weight but winky could still win but i see bhop taking it by decision

I must say I like this fight cause Winky can keep building his legacy as a fighter that takes on all comers. The fact that he's gonna win makes that much better for him.

Like I said I am a big Hopkins fan for who he is in the ring and what he has achieved and I would love to see him in the fight.... But he is starting to sound full of shite and a Spotlite whore and an all talk no action guy....

Winky has fought top fighters recently in Ike Quarety , Taylor , Mosley and Tito , the only exception being Soliman . Hopkins too has fought qulaity fighter after qualioty fighter in Oscar , Taylor twice Tarver and now Winky . These two are certainly throwbacks with their approach.

I wonder why Winky never tried to give Taylor another go but Nard is just as tough a fight if not harder . Winky has lost to guys like Vasquez, Vargas and Simon and that was at light middle. Considering how good and strong Hopkins looked last time at light heavyweight, you gotta make him a favourite but its a good competative fight.
