Its a shame Froch isn't as well known in the US wouldn't mind seeing that. Think Froch might do him!

Lacy needs to fight a good boxer with a suspect chin. Tarver is not a good choice to fight, he's left handed and he has power.

Marcus Beyer would be a good warm up for him.

As much as I dislike Tarver he still would kick Lacys ass, I don't think Lacy can beat Tarver now.....

Lacy needs to realise he needs a good victory cause his comeback fight with Tsypko was not all that good. He had his moments but he didn't look all that good that night....

Beyer sounds good, Bika also would be good for him......

Jeff becoming a force in boxing AGAIN? When was he a force in boxing? Lacy has only been a force in the US media hype. He has no good wins as far as I remember.

So wait a second, Lacy looks like crap during his last two fights at 168, and now he thinks it a good idea to move up 7 pounds and fight the former undisputed champ?
    Talk about a dumb strategy.

These guys are both from the Tampa/St. Pete area, so obviously there's a marketing/tickets angle to this, but Lacy has no business in the ring with Tarver.

Fair to mention having that torn cuff had alot to do with his performance especially someone who makes a living with his left-hook... I think he showed his tremendous heart and will and mental strength on 2 occasions

    1) when he refused to quit and pressed on against Calzaghe depite taking a hell of a beatdown

    2) Tearing his Rotator cuff and continueing on to finish the fight Tyspko...

I would worry more about Tarver who showed 0 heart against B-Hop and looked lethargic and scared... Not to mention Tarver will almost be 39 in July

as much as I liked what B-hop did to Tarver both there punch outputs were less than proloific and Tarver was uncomfortable with Nard coming forward and that was while he was throwing the lead right and getting inside and tying Tarver up..

Lacy likes it messy on the inside and will press and be throwing harder crisper shots... Tarver is getting on in age and is slowing down and is content with throwing one punch at a time and standing there, he will wilt under Lacys power and pressure..

I dont no how gd lacy is as i have only seen his last to fights in which he got schooled nd put on a poor performance against tsypko but as i understand he had an injury nd still won so ill give him credit for that however i gotta agree with sweetpea that fighting tarver would not be the best idea as i dont think he would get alot of credit 4 it nd if he was to lose wot would he do then fight another LH or drop back down which he would also get slated for, also Tarvers gonna be looking to come back big time after being schooled by bhop so i could see him outboxing lacy but i havent seen much of tarver eithr just him beatting an old jones, johnson nd losing to bhop so i think if lacy want to ge t his career back on track he should stay at SM nd have a couple of fights nd then start looking towards getting a title.

You got some good points there on Tarver, but still I would much rather him get a feel of his arm against someone else....

IMO he should be lookign to fight Froch, Veit or Byuer - i would expect lacy to come through any of them without to much trouble and scoring a KO.

Tarver; I think lacy is a better figher, but lacy is best suited to SMw surly, tarver is a pretty big LHW are settled there - but i think lacy and KO him there as long as he trains right and fights the right fight. Tarver IMO is completley overrated, made his name beating past it fighters and a famous journey man in Glen johnson - that hardly constitutes P4P status imo or even to be labled 'very good' He has no heart, and i think a few big hits from lacy would really fuck tarver up leaving him to scared to get stuck in, lacy has shown twice in his last to fights he has a heart as big as anyone in boxing, i can't think of many who would of taken the beating he took from calzaghe and still carrying on TRYING to do something like he did, they lad never give up, then coming through th tsypko fight with that injury but trying to do something shows heart that would discorgae tarver imo.

Tarver seems to be a confidence fighter, and if lacy took a hew big blows got through them and landed a few of his own, which i fully expect him to do, tarver will be left clenching his cheeks and ready for th Ko'ing.
