    Default Interview with Sakio Bika

    http://www.teampalle.dk/composite-1389.htm

    Found in a another forum

Bika has an interest in making Calzaghe look good because he lost to Calzaghe. However, in this interview he is painfully honest

    Unfortunately it is in Danish

Here is a translation of parts of it:

"I understand very well that Calzaghe is ducking Kessler and that he has no interest what so ever in meeting Kessler. While calzaghe is a goo fighter, he knows very well that he would never be able to win that fight"

"I have in sparring or fight never met a more dominant fighter than Kessler.

"Joe Calzaghe with whom I foiught 12 hard rounds in October also hits a lot and moves well, but his punches does not have anywhere near the pain of Kessler's punches and Kessler actually has faster feet."

"Comparing the two, I have to admit that Kessler is a level above Calzaghe and I came here hoping to get a fight with Kessler but Calzaghe actually cannot keep a candle to Kessler."

The theme of conversation was the former Kessler defeatee Mundine's win over Soliman who sparred with Kessler before the fight in Sidney. "Before the fight I would have said that Mundine would win on points and I am a little surprised that he stopped Soliman although Sam is only a middleweight" Says Kessler.

"Only the future will tell if I end up in the ring with Mundine again, says Kessler.

Sakio Bika says that the Australian public would be very interested in seeing a rematch, but personally he doubts that Mundine wants the fight.

Mogens Palle agrees and says "I do not believe for one second that Mundine would wnat to loose to Kessler again. I think that we can expect Mundine to renounce his shot at Kessler's WBC belt, so that he can concentrate on meeting handpicked opponents for the regular WBA belt for a while."

And the day after it is interestingly enough neither unification fights nor Kessler or calzaghe that preoccupies Mundine but rather a possible step down to middleweight.

    __________________________

Latest news from the training camp is that Sakio Bika is complaining that Kessler is being too hard on him, and therefore Palle has had to call in Lolenga Mock for Mikkels sparring so that Bika can rest his sore body.

I agree - Bika is Kessler's man now. I personally think that theres some truth in what hes saying.

Kessler has got way more power than Calzaghe. No doubt!

Calzaghe is ducking Kessler. Yes,if Calzaghe going to fight Alejandro Berrio after Manfredo or some bum

Of course you think there is some truth in it, your a mad Kessler fan. If Bika did get a fight with Kessler do you think he would still hail Kessler as the great destroyer he has apparently billed him as in that interview, or do you think that Bika might have 'spotted some weaknesses' whilst sparring?

Its par for the course my friend. Dont read anything into it
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough

Bika is'nt going to say Calzaghe is a better fighter when Kesslers is paying his wages. As for Kessler been a league above Calzaghe i doubt that.
