Looks like Gatti wants to impressive one more time. i dont think he has it in him to fight at the highest level anymore which is fair play to him. i think n'dou would proabally beat him at this stage at his carrrer thats why he doesnt want the fight!

It seems to change every week, Vince Phillips would be an easier fight than Malignaggi or N'dou, but he still has some pop. Arturo must be trying to make a lil run of a few fights. I would hope if this is his last fight, he would pick someone that doesnt have as much power as Phillips.I wish him the best of luck tho and pray he doesnt get hurt.Boxrec also has Vince scheduled to fight 4-14 Damone Wright.

philips is a hard bastard. hatton battered ten bells of shit out of him for 12 rounds and could not stop him. but obviously that was years ago now. a clash with gatti would have me watching. but i would tune in to any fight with gatti in

Honestly...the only two words related to Gatti that I want to hear or read are : Gatti or retirement.

If those words don't come together then I don't want to hear or read shit about him.

    Normally...I'm fucking around...but seriously...it's time.

he was malignaggi's boyhood idol and they are best friends now, it would take A LOT of money for that fight to happen.

Gatti needs to retire. If he wants to fight one more time and go out with a win, then he should fight a no-name stiff with absolutely no punching power.
Gatti is #1 on the "needs to retire" list, followed by Evander Holyfield, James Toney, Erik Morales, and Roy Jones.

great warrior that gatti is it really is more then time for him to retire, he's given boxing and boxing fans some fantastic nights of fighting but he should now stop fighting and maybe go into training younger fighters who can learn from the great man

Agreed...Arturo has had some of the most exciting fights in the history of the game...Not the best P4P fighter that much is for sure but if heart made Champions Gatti would be in the Top 5 of all time.....

Gatti still has all his wit's and no slur that many fighters get from to many wars...I would love to see him retire now...He has made some good money and is a good guy all around....He owes this sport nothing...If anything it's the other way around

Gatti doesn't slur? I gotta disagree with you there... He sounds permanently inebriated.

Holyfield doesnt need to retire anywhere near as much as Morales, Jones and Gatti. He is still winning fights and working his way up the ladder to another title shot. Plus he can beat Briggs or Maskaev. Maybe even Valuev too.

Given: Holyfield was fighting Maddalone, but I haven't seen Evander look that sharp in a long time - fast hand speed, great footwork, great combos and very accurate.
If this Evander is here to stay for a few more fights, it's conceivable that he takes the title away from ANY of the belt holders.

Back at ya, JT. CC You just can never totally give up on Holyfield, such concepts don't exist in his mind and he's shocked me and millions of others before when he was referred to as being washed-up. There is still a bit of the sleeping giant in him.
