    Default 80s Heavyweights Underrated ??

You had some real good talents like

    Greg Page
    Pinklon Thomas
    Tony Tubbs
    Tim Witherspoon

But they got ruined by drugs or got overweight but i still think people underrate them these were good hw talents until they got screwed up and could easily be champions today

I think the HW of the 80s had talent but wasted it unlike the HW of today that dont have much talent but try and make the most of it.

Greg Page was pretty average, Pinklon Thomas had a very good jab & Tubbs had fast hands & decent skills. being out of shape & having drug problems obviously doesn't help performances but generally I don't think they were overated, just not very good.

I would agree with Witherspoon being underated though. He was a very good fighter & I don't think it was necessarily a coincidence that a young Tyson was never matched with him. Witherspoon was a good defensive fighter &, in my opinion, if Tillis could cause him problems at that time then Witherspoon could have beaten him.

Agree on Greg Page and Terrible Tim....Both were top notch fighters who suffered due to those reasons

The guys from the 80's weren't underrated. I think most boxing fans understand that all the names you listed were pretty good fighters. Not of them were great, though they fall no worse than 3rd if rated against current HWs. Of the HW's we have today, only Wlad and Peter are in the class with Witherspoon and Thomas.
