oscar is the underdog, it'll be sweeter if he wins. it'll be boring if floyd wins. but more likely floyd will win.

lets see how good floyd is at 154, i don't know maybe its just me but floyd has lose power and slowly losing speed as he goes up in weight. i don't see him too be that good defensively his more a combination of both good offense and good defense which makes him great. but i don't see him as a great offensive finisher nor do i see him as a great devensive boxer. he gets tag at his fights too. i want to see someone goes after his body.

can't wait only a few weeks left til fight night!!!!

This is truly laughable, JT. You really don't believe what you're saying, do you? Mayweather is moving up for this fight and Castillo and Judah (more so Castillo) proved that he's beatable. You can't honestly tell me that you think that DLH lost both fights to Mosley. DLH has been dealt a couple of crap decisions along the way.
Mayweather isn't "far more superior", well, in his mind he is and to the snake-oil buyers that he's sold to, but this is the fight that separates the men from the boys.
Mayweather is in with the best he's ever been in with. DLH has already put on a great effort against Hopkins - a man who's defensive skills Mayweather couldn't muster on his best day.
I'm going to enjoy Mayweather getting a proper beat-down from DLH, and it's all going to happen on May 5th. The only sound you're going to hear after Oscar whips that ass is 50 cent pulling out his glock and firing it at DLH's corner.

well lets say oscar can catch floyd even at chicken mode all night. i want to see him hurting floyd to the body in the "1st half" of the fight. Pouring in the hardest punches to the body, lets see, if the plan gets done successfully, the result wil be slowing floyd down enough to crack an opening to floyd's untested chin. problem is, will oscar still have that extra gas left in him to finish floyd in the later rounds after chasing floyd all night in chicken mode?.. in his training with freddie roach, he said, he felt totally invigorated as if he has a body like a 20yr old again. Still, i am not so sure even a real well conditioned 20yr old boxer can even catch floyd in full gear running like chicken. If oscar thinks he can win against floyd in points, then that's just getting even harder for him. I think his only chance is to stop this guy! shut him up for good! outpointing floyd is outright almost impossible. That's why the odds of oscar winning this fight is just not good in my opinion.

Floyd is an absolute defensive elite.... I suggest you watch more of his fights if you cant see that... For the 99% that we agree, we are continents apart on this one... Floyd is the best pure Boxer in the game bar none, NO ONE is on par with his pure technical skill and polished proper fundamentals...

Again you preface your posts earlier with dislike for Floyd the everyday man, and surely that is blinding you to see Floyd the fighter.. There is no argueing his skill, he is all world

My dislike for Floyd as a man is pretty evident, but I can't take anything away from him as a gifted athlete an amazing boxer. I've followed Mayweather closely for a long time and have watched the majority of his fights. However clouded my judgment may be by my dislike for Mayweather, (and I'm not a hater - just don't care for him and think he has no character) I realize what gifts he brings to the table. That being said, I still think that he's facing the best opponent he's ever faced in DLH.
To be a realist, the fight breaks down in one or two ways:

1- Mayweather boxes his way to a 12 round decision
2- DLH gets to Floyd, hurts him and stops him

Which is the more likely out of the 2? I'd be lying if I said the first is not likely, but Floyd is going to have his hands FULL in this bout. I'd also be lying if I didn't say that the 2nd option isn't probable.
At this stage of the game, DLH has been in with the much better opposition. With that experience, along with the fact that he's a fairly young and far from over-spent 34 yrd. old boxer just doesn't bode right for Floyd. DLH has all the tools to dish out a beating to Floyd and I'm sure he won't be tentative in this fight. Far more lies on the line for DLH than Mayweather and it would be foolish to dismiss DLH as has-been who never got the job done against the best opposition. Can't take anything away from a motivated Mexican boxer with his back up against the wall knowing what is at stake in this bout.
Still sticking with DLH, JT. And with all due respect, we respectfully have to disagree on this one.

i want to be clear on my own view: Floyd seems wholly uptight and immature and a shitt-stirer, the opposite of a class act. but at the very same time i have tremendous respect and appreciation for him as a boxer; how could one not?

I'm your huckleberry I'm that confident I think Oscar can win by decision

With all the quality speedsters he has in training he is going to turn up in shape/timing on. When Floyd jumps in he will meet possibly the best jab he has ever encountered. Up close he will be hit harder than he has ever been hit. If Zab could overwhelm Floyd for a few rounds then even todays version of Oscar will be good enough to close the gap and connect. I can't wait to see Floyd at his best on the ropes because Oscar is going make him earn the win if he corners him.

As I already stated, & will continue to as I always stick with my pick no matter what, I think Floyd wins it...but there is something that a lot of people aren't factoring in...& it just got me tonight as I just watched 24/7...again...for the 4th gotdam time.

After that I tossed in Oscar's fights against Hopkins & Mayorga. After that...I scanned through a disc compilation of Floyd's fights against Judah, Gatti, & Baldo. What did I start mulling over in me drunken brain?

    Floyd could get robbed.

While most don't think that it's possible...Oscar's the bigger man, he's the good guy, he's got home court advantage, & he could appear busier than Floyd.

    Notice I said APPEAR.

Oscar has a habit & advantage of being able to push smaller men to the ropes & start flurrying. This turns the head of fans & judges.

As hard as I believe something like that would be to pull off against someone as slick & smooth as Floyd...it's because of the size of men he's faced in the past. Oscar's bigger & is going to be able to impose his size...unless I am totally mistaken.

These are the only two ways that I believe Osar can win...size or robbery...& that's hard for me to say as bofemz are in my top 5!

Jim Lampley is already stretching out his vocal cords in order to be ready to scream at the top of his lungs when Oscar throws his patented 10 punch flurry right before the bell, where 1 punch lands and 9 miss.
