I saw my first commerical for the fight during Wednesday Night Fights. It was very original and gave me a chuckle.
But I almost shat down my britches leg when they said the PPV cost was $54.95. WTF! So, HD will be $64.95?!

undercard is no that bad. boom boom and aj bazooka banal is such an exciting and explosive fighters. we all know the game of boom boom aj banal though is very raw, lacks head and lateral movement but his just what 18 years old?.. But watch out of his aggressive punches it could be really crisp, fast and powerful he was sometimes held by boxing analysts as the next pacquiao hmm maybe because of his aggression? because certainly their style is entirely different... The juarez fight though is what bothers me because i know he'll just walk over his opponent. Overall for a $55 this isn't good supporting card if not disappointing.
Bob Arum used to do this with boxing cards. He puts a good matchup in the main event as you have to -to get people to buy the ppv event, then he puts on his crop of fighters against no good competition. He didn't want to lose his fighters to another good fighter. It is a no risk policy. Don King put up great matchups. I liked the Don King cards the most. so when people insult Don King I say, well his job in boxing was to promote and put on good fights and he did it. I always thought Don King did a great promotional job and put the fights up. He did his job. Arum and Goldenboy are the same. Same games.
looks like theres gonna be 5 fights on the undercard

How about in 1991, when payperviews were $29.99, and the boxing world was shocked to find out that Tyson vs Holfield would be priced at $49.99.Originally Posted by BoxingGorilla
I guess we can look foward to seeing $55 for all pay-per-views pretty soon.
even better remember BLACK BOXES!Originally Posted by lance Uppercut
Juarez v Hernandez on paper is a good fight but for that money the card is complete horseshit, I like watching Boom Boom but I think there should definatly be a world title on the line on the undercard. Us brits shold most likely get to see John Murray though, I hope they show that over there too, look out for this lad he's very very good to watch, tough and stays in the pocket like Juan Diaz, a proper box fighter who wears em down. O' Donnell ain't bad as well but Murray is one to watch.
Remember the good old days, we miss you Marco!
yeah! wouldn't miss that. two undefeated prospects, should be a barnburner. i hope they also show the aj banal undercard. this kid's the future of philippine boxing.Originally Posted by TheBESTP4P
i agree, they should have thrown in a couple of world title fights in there. they think the main event would be good enough for the ppv buyer's money.Originally Posted by yoitsdan
I'm actually down with the under card.
Decent matches...not the best...but not the worst.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
I was always a believer in good undercards for a big fight. 55 bucks for this fight is enough money and if they put on there even Hill vs. Maske or J.C. Chavez Jr. vs. a good fighter that would have been good for a solid undercard. What about Mosley vs. Cotto at welterweight? I know Cotto just fought, but just for the sake of argument, that is what Don King would have made for his undercard years ago. Arum always made terrible undercards, although his main events were sometimes better than Don Kings. Meaning, Hearns/Hagler was obviously one of the greatest fights ever,, the undercard had a guy named Willie Dewit who I am sure some of your remember, Luis Santana fought Darrell Chambers, Ricky Womack fought, and Pat Jefferson fought. Who are these guys? Well decent fighters for 1985 but where was McGuigan that night or Bramble or McCallum or Curry? I suppose when you have names like Hagler or Hearns, or Delahoya or Mayweather you do not need other guys. But if a cut occurs and we pay 55 bucks for a boring fight up until a cut happens, then we lost 55 bucks.
They don't want anything on the under card being better than the main event, anyway it's free over here so I don't care.
EXACTLY! PLus Boom Boom is an awesome awesome fighter in the making and so is AJ,I like them both. Juarez fight is going to be a slug fest then there is the amazing main event. I don't think it's too bad,I mean think about it,when will there next be a fight which will have EVERYONE talking this much rather than just us hardcore? Not too many I can think of in the near future!Originally Posted by RiZO
PLus Oscar and Floyd have sold the fight brilliantly, heck my mum watches 24/7 with me! I'm hooked on it too! It's also the first super fight I've actually witnessed since being a boxing fan(I've only been a fan 3 years now) so I'm dam excited!
I have seen worse...Though not exactly the quality undercard you would expect for a main event of this magnatude but...Maybe they know something we don't and don't want to take the chances of an undercard fight stealing the show
