Thread: How About A Barrera VS Marquez Rematch

Why isnt anybody loading up on that I saw Marquez beat Barrera who by the way I luv to death I know both of them but Marquez is a bad man at 126lbs!

Well it was supposed to be happening in September its been took off boxrec now and haven't heard anything since and i personally thought Barrera won the fight.

Now you can see my point I thought Oscar won this latest fight!

Im a big Barrera fan. I think he won that last fight. Ive no problem with him just retiring. He's done it all. You can only do it so many times!

Iwould have no problem if Barrera retired I feel the same he dont have to prove a thing to me either!

Yes but Barrera did land more punches than Marquez and it was much closer fight than Oscar vs Mayweather imo and if Barrera would of had knock down scored i would of had him ahead comfortably.

Yes this is whats its all about two good honest fighters

Not sure who I had winning the first fight. I just remember it was one of the best pure boxing matchups I have ever seen. The science at it's best. A rematch would draw no criticism from me, neither would Barrera retiring.

Exactly. Marco won that fight. The KD should have been scored, but regardless. The lack of a count made it a close fight.

pacquiao vs. marquez would be much more important for the sport, but of course there is a lot of political stuff that could get in the way

I agree with 85% of boxing experts at Max,boxingtalk,espn,doghouse etc who thought JMM won easily. The HBO commentary bias towards MAB(Manny Steward talking about MAB "rolling" the punch when JMM was catchin him ffush) made it sound like a close fight but JMM controlled after the first few. I don't see the point in a rematch because it will take more out of the winner,leaving less for the inevitable clas with the Pacman. It was a sensational match of boxing,but JMM won for sure.I think I had it by 2 the first time WITH the commentary,4 without.

Thats what I saw was Marquez winning that fight straight up! ! !

Disagree i had Barrera winning i wern't upset that Marquez won its just scorecards were terrible.

Well I agreed with the judges on that one Marquez won clearly!
