Looked like some folks helped themselve quite a bit last night,and a current champ shot himself in the foot with that lack luster performance according to them

Yea even though he gave good showing fact of matter is don't matter how many people say Spinks won at end of the day Taylor got the decision Spinks lost and a good showing should not automatically place you that high imo but i disagree with Mora he should be about 20.

come on wack the man best competition was 5 rounders (at a point which recordwise indicates he should've been fighting atleast against guys that will get title shots but not win them. He steals rounds by throwing weak combos at the end of them and if he gets in the ring with a legit fighter (power puncher or not) he will get destroyed.

That's your opinion and you're entitled to be wrong...but he's undefeated & keeps on winning...also...I never said that I liked him or that I think he's some kinda world beater...I just stated...clearly...that I have no issues with his placing in comparsion to Spinks though...it's laughable.

Pavlik should be resting in Spinks slot quite comfortabley.

The heavyweight ratings have Sprott in the top 20 at first i thought that was a joke but after reveiwing the division for a second, i can't say that i completely disagree with that. I mean he has fought the best out there and beaten some of them.

He is undefeated yes but who has he beat in his last 2 fights ?? he got dropped by mediocre fighter then beats guy with 25-3 i think it was and that places Mora top 10 Middleweight ?? i don't think so Wacko.

They're formula is messed up. It was made to predict who would win a fight and placing better fighters above the ones they'd supposedly beat. This formula has been changed several times in the last years because of situations like this. The last time it had to be changed because after alonzo butler beat a guy by some freakishly wide margin they shot him up to the top 8. They have it based on actual judges scores so the more points a judge gave a guy the more it effects his rating. The SD shot spinks up because essentially they're giving him credit with half beating Taylor.

I don't get the point of boxrec's ratings one bit.
I mean, I understand their system, but I don't know what they're trying to prove wth it.
Boxing is maybe the most subjective sport in the world. Calculators can't determine boxing rankings.

ICB...how would you rank a fighter when compiling a list?

Not quite sure how...but generally you line up the combatants that are most active & then you rank them on their records, opposition, & last completed bouts.

I never said that I agreed with the place that they have the man...nor did I say that I liked him...but it is laughable that Spinks is in the number three spot & Mora is trailing behind him.

For some reason...many people love LOVE LOVE to read more into what is posted than by what is actually said.

Mora's undefeated & has performed quite imperssively during his outtings. As for what happened regarding him being dropped...he got up to win...correct?

Odd that many boxing fans will applaude other fighters that they favor for getting up & gutting out a win when it suits their fancy.

Like Mora or not...& I fwockin don't...he did get up to win...& deserves the credit.

I don't think Spinks should be 3 i agreed with you on that but Mora at number 10 ?? he hasn't fought since August yes he got up and won from being kd but still not impressive to be dropped by a nobody and since that has fought a guy with 25-3 he is nowhere near top 10 imo.
