Default CALZAGHE WOULD BE TOO GOOD FOR TAYLOR

You knew this was going to happen. You knew if Edison Miranda and Kelly Pavlik fought on the undercard of the Jermain Taylor-Cory Spinks show, that there was a possibility the "star'' of the show (Taylor) was going to get shown up.

Well, it happened just like you thought it would. Miranda and Pavlik traded punches like a couple of kids swapping baseball player cards, throwing a combined 191 punches in the first round alone. In the end, Pavlik landed more and Miranda caved.

A new Manfredo has emerge : If Calzaghe can attract 35,000 fans for a match against Manfredo, a marginal talent from a TV show, then he should be just fine with a fight against Pavlik, who is the No. 1 middleweight contender in the world.

I fell that Warren is taking the trousers down on all Calzaghe fans can you feel it

Dont know if I should thx ICB for this one, but I am not from Sparta soo the messinger will not be harmed

At the end of the article it says that Calzaghe is recognised as the best in his division. By who? Certainly not me, i rate him behind Kessler. It also states that Taylor is not seen as the top middle, who has passed him. Pavlik was impressive but surely one win against Miranda cant make him number 1.

JC got some skills but JT would rise to da occasion i think he is one of the fighter that fights good against good fighters when he has to, JC dont have the punch to hurt him, those slapping punches arent goin to fly againt JT.

Ring has Calzaghe as champ, so that where that probably comes from. Many people think Taylor lost to Wright so he is disputedly #1, Pavlik is just his number one challenger, and who he needs to fight to keep his belt.

I'd say both are disputed as each other if that makes sense? I mean you could claim that both Calzaghe and Taylor aren't top in their divisions, yet the article makes it sound as tho Joe is clearly number 1 SMW and Taylor has no claims at MW.

Calzaghe is number 1 but Kessler is hot on his heels he needs to prove he's still number 1 and fight Kessler if not The Ring should make there belt vacant and then who continues to have the better fights becomes number 1 at the moment Kessler is fighting the tougher opposition

The ring doesnt strip their title for bs reasons, it has to be won in a fight or relinquished by retirement. Thats why its the only truly legit title in boxing.

But Calzaghe by the looks of things ain't going to fight Kessler so he ain't acting like number 1 and fighting the best so i think the belt should be vacant
