Default Will people change thier opinion of warren?

With bell saying a few times warren had sent him top offers to fight enzo when he was champ, calzaghe now lined up to fight kessler in denmark, cunningham being lined up for enzo's next fight - will people start to change thier opinion about him, or give him more of the denefit of the doubt for past fights not coming off?

I have given warren my share of stick on numerous times... but looking back has has made some very very big fights...

He matched the fab four of british boxing well.... Brought Tszyu over here to fight hatton when tszyu was considered to be a top pfp and the true LW champ... Hopkins was offered a massive payday for him then to fight calzaghe in the us... he has matched joe honestly with the best at his weight and offered RJJ a fair wack to fight him, and now sendinh him to fight kessler in denmark... Enzo hasn't exactly been a kept fighter either, sure he doesn't have massive names on his resume yet, but considering how many fights he has had, his age he has fougth at a pretty consistantly matched level IMO, the gunn one was a let down, honestly anyone then apart from bell or JMM would of been coz we all wanted to see mac v haye...

Sure i know the abvious point out would be he kept his fighters at home as much as possible. Honestly though, what good promoter doesn't secure as many advantages for his fighter as possible? frank is in it for the money - and him promoting the fights at home will allow himt o secure the tv rights and sponsors etc and make his money that way.

I also know one clause in he has in his contracts with hsi fighters states a fighter can not turn down a fight agasint a fighter that he can make happen.. hardly a clause you want if you want to protect your fighters is it?

Hell don't getme wrong, i know this is a fairy posative frank warren post, im not saying he is some angel or anything lol he has his faults and pisses me off alot, but i am starting to see things a lil different as of late...

Sorry Warren is a Promoter, and just like the King of them,he has issues

Dons is ripping off fighters left and right
Franks is making absolutely asinine offers to make it seem like hes trying to make a fight in the British press

all valid points which i'd have to agree with. For sure there has been lots of offers made to varius fighters to fight his own, mainly Joe Calzaghe (Hopkins, RJJ for instance) but he's got to relise all the big boys are in the US, and by offering average amounts to come to Britain is just not going to happen 95% of the time, and then by telling everyone he's made these offers thinks he's justified himself.

He has made some decent fights in this country but most of the time i dont think his fighters career is benifiting from his tit tat dealings with other promoters.

don't get me wrong, the supposed offer of him having rights to forch and haye should they beat joe/ezno was bang out of line...

but he has made alot of good offers for fighters to take on his..

Hopkins, RJJ were made very very good offers... Kessler was offered enough for himt o use unjury a reaosn nto to fight calzaghe, then they openly turned down $3m to fight him here..

Bell has said numerous times he hed very interesting offers to match him with enzo... now cunningham s in talks who is defo one of the most skilled boxers at CW...

apart form the haye and froch stipulation, what other offers should warren of made or done to match some of his fighters with guys they should of fought?

Well..Frankly if calzaghe does something with his last fights then i'll be happy..

Never really been a calzaghe fan..

But one thing that will strike Warren out of the bad books forever...
If he managed to take Khan to the top.. When Khan makes it to the top with warren and if warren has done it the right way.. Then all will be forgiven :P lol

I think give it about 5 fights.. Then a couple of named fighters from the world stage..

Then maybe take on a world champ..Not neccessarily the best of the champs though..

Its a shame hes not ready yet..

Specially since Morales is going to fight david diaz and then says he will retire after..

I can see morales winning the title retiring and there bieng a vacant title..
But thats end of this year and still too soon for sure

im sure Kahn turns 21 in December and he keeps saying he wants to be world champ by then. Dont think Warren's to keen on the idea like.

Couple of tough cookies at LW, think he's got the build to move up a few weight classes if he becomes champ at LW

True.. But it seems all the suprises come at lw..

I mean.. Imo Juan diaz's first real step up from crap competition was Freitas and he aced it..

And i liked the kid but i wasnt sure he would...

Its definately time for the young stars though, By the time khan hits his prime and steps up fighters like Juan Diaz will be thought of more or less as veterans in the division

It'll be nice to see who steps up from super feather aswell in the passing year or so.. Fighters like Guzman could make big impacts in the division when they step up

I'm surprised you thought Diaz wouldn't ace it. I was about 95% sure he would. I like Freitas, but I didn't feel he had it anymore, and Diaz is powerful, has great stamina and is hungry. He just wanted it, you could see. Katsidis is another guy who will be a name in the division. Khan would struggle against these 2 punches IMO.
