Taylor is not living up to expectations. The guy is lacking something. Hopefully a fight against pavlik will wake him up, I will be supporting Pavlik however.

I like a fighter who can raise the bar every now and then...

An important thing i picked up while watching byrd and williamson (besides better angry management techniques) is that one of the commentators said that in close rounds, they'll give the beneift of the doubt to the champion (that might not be exactly what they said but i took something away from that fight none the less). Essentially if you are the challenger, you have to bring it on fight night. You have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that you are more deserving of the belt than the man who stands before you. Putting on a fight that could go either way, while entertaining, does not solidify you as the better man. If you want to be the champion, you have to win in impressive fashion.
I believe that SHOULD be a condition when judging a fight. If you use that it calls many fights into question. Specifically when Taylor was awarded the decision against Bhop. Now because I use that measure, I think Taylor won the second bout vs Bhop. But he didn't win the first. I am comfortable with a draw against Winky. Not comfortable with a win for Taylor. In my opinion it should have been a win for Winky or a draw, either is ok with me. And there should have been an immediate rematch. That was a great fight.

Taylor going the distance with Bhop and Winky is not impressive. Neither guy has been ko'ing people lately, (lately for Bhop, ever for Winky) so even there dominant wins are usually ko's. Taylor is the champ, he is getting pressured for taking seemingly easy fights. I am all for pressuring the champ, and I hope that the pressure gets spread to all the champs. You can't rest while your the champ, you have to beat contenders in an impressive fashion to get credit.

Taylor's the legit champ, and he gets legit criticism. Share the love guys, criticize all the champs the same way and lets get some good fights, especially Joe C. and PBF. You want to be the best then fight and beat the best and do it impressively.

Being champ means there is always someone waiting to kick your ass. That's life in the profession they chose. Don't whine about not being enough, etc... Better get some thick skin cause you got dozens of people waiting in line to beat you silly.
