Thread: Prime Tyson vs Prime Liston

Think i have to go with Liston on this think he could weather the storm and end Tyson but i may be wrong like to hear some input on this think be a good fight.

It would be a great fight but i think Tyson would win by stoppage it would be an awesome fight though for about 8 rounds.

Well i give Tyson a 30 or 40 percent chance of winning but if it goes past the first few rounds i think the tide turns for Liston but i may be wrong what you think Tyson.

Umm this is tough one to be honest i think Tyson has the chin to hang with Liston but he would be shaken few times and Listons jab would cause bruise under Mikes eye but he would survive to stop liston later on prolly round about 9 or 10.

Beside ali did any one ever knock liston out i need to check that.

Agreed but it wouldn't be easy Liston is very underrated and has great jab would be good slugfest while it lasted.

Yea but i like threads that last till the dawn of time because you get so many different points of view that why i post alot of the dream fights that will never happen.

Yes but that is considered including me to be a dive he hardly even touched him they had new technology to show you where punch landed it was a punch that almost missed on the cheek.

yea but i don't blame Liston for that i think they were planing to kill him or something like that.

Its all hypothetical and its hard enough predicting the fights that will happen anyways.

Well i wouldn't be thinking of dream fights if the heavyweight division now wasn't so bad.

Yes i remember seeing some old newspapers they all had it a fix Liston forgetting the Ali fights was a great hw who sparred with Foreman i believe and taught Foreman how to bully an opponent Liston would be Tysons hardest fight Tyson ever had in his championship reign but unfortunately Liston would lose by TKO but he would give good account of himself.
