    Default The Manchester Mexican

I just read in the mail that hatton intends on entering the Castillo fight in a sombrero and parading himself as the manchester mexican..Lol

Its pretty funny like..And Ricky is a good guy and everything..

But does anyone recon this will be taken in bad taste? Like Floyd did intend to take the piss with his get up for the oscar fight..

    tHOUGHTS?

    Peace

This is definately different. Hatton has a good sense of humor where ever he goes, how much would it surprise you if the mexican audiance starts chanting his name?

Here's an article on it: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/6724157.stm

"Breaking News today as scientists have uncovered shocking DNA evidence that has confermed that Ricky "The Hitman" Hatton is actually none other then the son of legendary Mexican prize-fighter Julio Cesar Chavez. Scientists speculate this to be caused by a rift in the space-time continuum that had switched Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Ricky Hatton at birth... In an interview this morning Ricky Hatton said, "I have always had my suspicions that I was mexican. I like mexican food, I enjoy a tequila every now and then, and I fight like any red-blooded Mexican. I figured that my real dad was either Cheech Marinbecause of my sense of humor, or a famous mexican boxer. From now on I'll be known as the Manchester Mexican for all eternity!" To show his patronage for his new found people he'll be entering the ring in a Blue Sombrero" Oh, just caught this on CNN this morning.

What would be more hilarious would be if he if he'd go all out. I mean he'd get a spray tan, wear a red headband with a Sombrero, get a lady of Guadalupe tattoo on his chest, and during his entrance he'll be accompanied by a Mariachi band, shaking a maraca in each hand for each step of the way, and finally entering the ring to sing the Mexican national anthem. Some things mastercard can't even buy... for everything else there's saddoboxing.com

I think that most will take it with good humor behind it...Ricky is not nor has he ever been known as disrepectful in any way....Hatton is just too likable...I don't think Castillo will even take offense to it

I agree with you, but I'd still like to see the look on Castillo's face.

I have seen about 2 dozen pics of Ricky in a sombrero standing next to Jose already....I can see it now.....

Hatton coming in to Mariachi (how ever you spell it) music and a sombvrero and Castillo coming in with a Rugby shirt on.....

After the fight they head to the bar while Castillo drinks pints of Ale and Hatton slams down come Corona's

    I love it!

Ricky Hatton to the bartender: "How bout a pint of ale for my new amigo, and dos coronas for me."

Jose Luis Castillo while watching the welsh Rugby team on the pub's TV: "You're a nice bloke Ricky, you'll always have a place where I come from."

I agree unless he's trying to pass himself off as an albino. I think that's where the spray tan would come in handy. Imagine that.
