Default I Think The Matchmakers Really Are Trying To Put The Fans To Sleep...

    http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=003459

Derrick Gainer - Zahir Raheem on the RJJ undercard.

You have got to be kidding me. I think they just matched up the two most displeasing fighters of the last decade under 140 lbs and matched them together. They might aswell call the bill "Watch the HBO card until our Main Event Starts", because it doesn't get much worse then this.

In my opinion they ought to do this more often. Match the fighters against opponents that want to fight. And let the runners meet their mirror image, see which match sells the tickets.

Surely Jermain Taylor's last fight fitted into the 'putting the fans to sleep' category, cause after the excitement of PAvlik v Miranda, I missed the last four rounds of the Taylor fight, as it was about 4am here....and it literally put me to sleep.

Looks like Gainer's fighting Navarro not Raheem. Nonetheless, thank god this PPV is up against Williams-Margartio. No way I'm going to buy this when it's up against that fight.

I fell asleep during Matthew Hatton's fight on the undercard of Hatton Castillo. I woke up just as round 3 began for Hatton Castillo.

I doubt I missed much though.

Wow, I was just thinking about how disinterested I am in the Baldo-Forrest fight and then this.

This really could be the worst matchup of all time

    Starr will love it.

It looks like it's been changed. Although maybe they should match them together rather them fight seperately. I got to thinking, I really can not think of a worse matchup. Raheem is Raheem and the only time Gainer has been exciting was when JMM beat the hell out of him.

Seriously I'm waiting for Starr/BrooklyniteQueen/etc, to respond to this. In all seriousness, you have to give Starr credit, she defends her fighters to the very end, totally and completely loyal. I remember when I said something about how pathetic Gainer was in the JMM fight and she said some shit like Gainer showed that JMM's weakness was a guy that would move and make him come forward

Maybe there should be a thread about what would be the worst possible matchup that could be made. This would have to be towards the top.

    Tell me about it.
She still think Zab Judah is the best Welter in the world and IF the Zab Judah that fought Spinks the 2nd time would have fought PBF, Cotto, Tszyu and Baldomir then Zab would be P4P all-time.

God, I miss Starr here shes a treat to have around.
