I feel there was a lot of similarity between these fights as Vic was, as Hamed, very much overrated even though he had not fought much quality fighters and was dependant soley on his power. Hamed, was similar though he was much quicker and had slightly better skills. Here is to two fighters we loved to hate.

Hope Vic can bounce back and not disappear like Hamed did.

Go look at what Naz did prior to the Barerra fight, and then look at Vics resume there is nothing to compare, Naz held IBF WBO WBC Title's.

Naz might have held three titles, but that doesn't mean he was a technically sound fighter. He had unbelievable reflex's and tremendous power, but he had no chance against the super technical MAB.

Techincally sound? that wasn't the question they were comparing the two fighters which are not comparable.
Naz dominated the Fetherweight division, till Bareraa stepped up Vic wasnt even number 1.

I can see the similarity. Sort of like when Audley got KO'd by Sprott it was reminiscent of the Tyson-Douglas upset. Truely shocking.

The comparison was that both NAZ and VIC were outclassed, when they ran up on two technically superior boxers. There is definately a simarlarity too the two fights.

Basically what I mean is that both Vic and Naz are very unorthodox fighters who rely almost entirely on pure ability(Vic: Power, Naz:Power/Reflex) rather than on any actual skill or technique. Both were very much overrated because of their awkward style and flashy KOs. But once they were put against someone who actually knew how to fight and had good technique, they were schooled and dominated.

Then again, maybe I am being to harsh on Naz. After all it was Marco Antonio Barrera who beat him, not some up and comer on his first title fight. Still I can't help noting the similarities.

I'm still laughing that vic finally got his legs under him and was so quick to claim he wasn't hurt or ko'ed...he'll be back i think this will be a huge lesson for him !!

The similarity i see is that both vic and hamed are annoying little pricks that love to talk about how they k.o him and who, but then get dominated by likeable guys.

There is a huge difference in the way they lost though. Mab simply and easily took away hameds hearth, expose him and spanked him for 12 rounds. While vic got boxed and hammered in only 5 rounds.

This is now up there in the list of hated guys getting spank.
