The truth is, if he was American or plied his trade in the states he'd already be classed as an all time great.

But seeing as Joe's a Londoner living in Wales, plying his trade in Britain, he has to settle for being classed as ordinary

Thats just the way she goes.

It could be argued FW has managed his career brilliantly. Not by me,

    but

    He's 35. He's still unbeaten. He's top 10 P4P ranked. He's now on seriously large paydays.

That's how my vote went down...good but not great....he has had 20 plus opportunities to unite the division and he hasn't. He had the opportunity to rise up after the Lacy fight and he didn't....finally years later he calls out the likes of RJJ and BHOP...at the obvious end of their HOF careers...now he goes against Kessler...can he go from good to great.....he's got to win first...

I chose world class...my gripe with Joe has nothing to do with his boxing it's his choice of opponents and how he previously would talk the talk about coming to the U.S. putting on a show...etc. But as a boxer he is really good, i just don't think his past competition outside of lacy has given him a chance to show us...

I would actually join these two together Super.

    World Class fighter
who scraped a world title in a bad era

I think he is World Class Fighter but has fought in bad era he has mostly beat washed up former champions or prospect he didn't have Benn Eubank Watson Gerald in his era which is a shame these match ups would of been interesting and exciting its not his fault the division has been weak but it has been weak and it has to be said he has dominated it though props to him for doing it i think he has to take a bit of blame for not taking the big fights but if he beats Kessler you will hear no complaining by me.

I remember him as an Amatuer winning 3 ABA titles at different weights on the trot. You could see he was a bit special even then beating good fighters on the way. Joes got it all a natural, unfortunatly hes got bad hands which in the end will be his demise. That I suppose is why he has altered his style over the years and lived with the problem. Hes better than good fighting with the problem he has, as anybody whose Boxed will tell you, Great Fighter

Will know one way or the other on the 3rd
He wins,he really is that good

Because right now his two biggest wins, are with Lacy, who wasnt ready for it,and Eubanks who was past it
This fight solidifies whoever wins as the real deal

not a great deal higher than where he would be now... i rank him fairy high up... to me joe is a phonomenal fighter, one of the reasons i have followed him so avidly throughout his carrer...

the kessler win wont prove much to me tbh, IMo joe is far from the fighter he was, whislt he has speed and stamina there is almost no power, i expect this to be a 12 tound fight fairly close fight i think...

I think a win over Kessler will help his all time ranking alot. I also think getting away from the WBO would help. Some people think getting away from Warren would help more.

I think people blame warren for the sake of it tbh...

Its always the same shit "warren held him back, he destoryed him" i used to think it too at times, but then i took a look into it...

Warren got him almost all the fights he wanted... he got him on a tyson undercard, he got HBO interested early on, it was down to joe rbeaking his hand in the reid fight and it turning scrappy, they lsot interest... then when they started to look interested again he bust his hand again and they lost interest (ther eis a good article on it somewhere)

its funny how people make out joe should of fought like 10 guys but didn't... there are only 2, hopkins and roy jones... both of whom are to of the hardest guys in the world to make fights for.... im not gunna waste my time telling u coz most dismiss it now...

search it your self... look into why calzaghe never fought hopkins or jones... other than that he fought everyone worth fighting out there, it sonly the kessler saga that has been dragged out and i think warren, palle joe and kessler all are to blame for this taking such time...

other than the kessler fight being dragged out, i see no reason to get on warrens back about joes career anymore..., what should of joe done that warren stopped ihm doing or didn't make happen?
