Default JEFF LACY.....is his career done?

Haven't seen him since he was beaten in the UK, has he fought since?
    Any fights coming up?

Hope he can get back on track as I thought he had a bright future ahead.

He hurt his shoulder in his comeback match against Vitali Tsypko. He'll be out for a while. THere were rumors he would be on season three of the contender, but he wasnt healed by the time they started filming. His career is not over but whether he will be a top contender again there is no way to say.

As a title threat. yes it is. The media ruined Lacy. They made him out to be more than he really was. They made him out to be the next great champion when in reality he was just a limited contender.

....Lacy's management ruined Lacy, media can make all the hype they want to but they don't make the fights in the end.

Lacy could still be ok, I would still LOVE to see Lacy and Jermain Taylor fight, I've been waiting for that one forever

i seen lacy fight my friend as an amatuer england v usa and totally gave him a leather shampoo here in england and at that point i thought he was going to be a complete world beater but after his defeat by calzaghe i dont think he can bounce back.....it was a severe beating and some people just cant adjust.....i really hope he does because i have seen lacys potential and know this man can be special

Much as the basis for this assessment is on his performance is on that which he provided in the Tsypko fight, I still think that he has plenty to prove. In taking on Calzaghe, there's no doubt he put his balls on the line in the biggest fight in the division in 10 years. However, his fight against Kessler will bring together three of the four belts, and install the winner as the undisputed champion of the division, in my opinion.

As far as Calzaghe is concerned, this is a win or lose fight, which either way will see Calzaghe finally look for the move to light-heavyweight. And if he wins, big fights could be possible. If he fails to beat Kessler, then surely retirement or a rematch are the only options.

Why does it matter if Calzaghe wins or loses? I taught this was Lacy thread.

In different perspectives you guys are both right, But I believe what really ruined him was an English gentlemen named Calzaghe.

Calzaghe just got to him first. So he gets the credit. But in reality how you going to ruin something that was already mediocre?

I saw him fight Tsypko and he looked really good for a couple of rounds till his shoulder went. He's got some balls to go through what he's been through in his last two fights. Hopefully he'll come back again because he definitely has ability.

Can anybody tell me the card that Lacy was fighting on in his last fight, or link me to a historical record of boxing shows so I can work it out please?

    EDIT : The Winky/Quartey fight.

Nah Fuk that Violent, Lacy still has the goods.. to say he is just a contender and then over look his courage ,heart and determination is foolish.... there isint a champion holding a belt today aside Holyfield that has exhibited all those qualities and has battled through that kind of adversity... Jeff will be just fine, and will come back like a roaring Lion
