    Default Jardine vs Chuck

I'm reading in a lot of forums where people are giving Keith a good chance against Chuck...Anyone else find this absurd..Most of the Chuck doubters feel that his skills are in rapid decline due to age...I personally just feel that Quinton is simply a horrible matchup for Chuck...As far as Jardine goes he is tough as nails and packs a good punch but the guy is not that hard to hit...Forrest was landing pretty much at will before he was KO'd...I'm willing to concede that strikers with certain styles are bad news for Chuck, but not Keith...He is very hittable and Chuck has lights out power...I take Chuck by 2nd round KO...brutally

Yes Jardine is very very overrated. Like you said he was getting it handed to him until that lucky uppercut against Forrest. Against a striker of Chuck's caliber I don't see Jardine lasting more than one round. Look what happened when he faced an equally aggressive and equally overrated Houston Alexander. I'll say KTFO round ONE Chuck wins!!!!!

Chuck will seriously do a number on Jardine. His chin hangs right in the air. One punch KO.

I was kinda hoping that the UFC would have put Bisping in with Jardine as a step up in class...i would rate Bispings chances as good as Bisping has a decent ground game where as Jardine doesn't really have one. Oh well

    Chuck wins easily IMO

I tend to disagree that Jardine's tko over forrest was lucky... Forrest is a horseshit boxer. He puts his head down every time he throws. He was just waiting for that uppercut. That said, a guy like Chuck who makes a living at stand-up will put a beating on him.

I agree Von that Keith's win wasn't just a lucky punch, but I had him losing that round up to the point he connected...Him and Forrest both are WAY to hittable...of course I've heard people say the same thing about Chuck...Bother Mezger and Overeem were landing before they got decked

Maybe not a 'lucky' punch but Jardine didn't look good at all up until that point; IMO he actually looked very uncomfortable on his feet, just like he did in his recent loss.

And I think we're being a little harsh on Griffin, for a guy with horrible striking and a wide open head and no ground game he's never been knocked out by a punch and has done pretty well. (i still think he's overrated but he's no slouch)

Honestly I think Jardine and Forrest both are being fed to the lions now. Back before the PRIDE buyout they were UFC's future, but now they're just step up fights for the big names.

Sites like Sherdog are just full of MMA elitists that loved Pride(not that there is anything wrong with that)....They hate the new fanbase that UFC is building and b/c Chuck is/was the poster boy for the UFC they love the bag on the guy.

I USED to think that Pride towered over the UFC... I think for the HWs it did, but after a while I began to reassess my argument. Both orgs had very good guys at the top of every division, both had their share of overrateds, and both had undercard fighters. It's kinda like baseball... I GUESS. I tend to think the Jap. league isn't as good as MLB, but Ichiro and Matsui show that there are elite players there too. If that makes any sense. lol.
