Thread: Boxing's WHO'S NOW? a welterweight showdown!

Alright folks. I've created a welterweight tournament to decide who is our best welterweight from 140-150 today. I've picked the top 12 fighters from BOXREC.COM and ranked them in that same order. Fighters such as DLH, Forrest and Spinks have agreed to come down in weight from 154. I then sorted them out into 2 groups of six giving the top two seeds a bye in each group. #1 Mayweather and #4 Cotto earned the bye in group A and #2 Hatton & #3 Mosley earned it for group B. Oscar was ranked 5th among them so he has to fight in round 1. Every saturday, a new round will begin. Those who receive the most poll votes from you guys by friday night will advance to the next round. This is almost like ESPN'S WHO'S NOW CONTEST but w/o the outside the ring popularity. If you think this is dumb than don't vote. If you like the idea than feel free to give your opinions and votes. I'd appreciate it alot. I've just always thought a tournament is the best solution to the arguments and debates.

I will put all 4 fights in round one in seperate topics. they will be named WELTERWEIGHT TOURNAMENT ROUND ___ (GROUP ___).

Especially after the Steve Forbes fight.
