I sure hope this fight doesn't get cancelled for some lame reason. I hope Kessler retires this guy ugly like.
If its true and he will retire if he's beat then there is a massive amount at stake for Calzaghe. His entire Career's reputation is in jeopardy.

I seriously doubt that Joe's gonna lose this fight...but if he did...he couldn't have lost to a more deserving chap than Kess.
Never beg a 40 dollar hooker...specially after she's just turned down your mom's credit card!!
I think Kessler will win and if Kessler does win and Calzaghe retires i will be disappointed that he wouldn't even try for a rematch or ect.Originally Posted by wacko3205
Could be just publicity tho ice. id say if he loses he'll try for redemption, but i don't think he'll lose.

I think this too but i still would be disappointed if he retired for good if he lost.
i hope Calzaghe looses and then never bores me again with his pitter patter arm punches.
Remember reality is an illusion caused by a lack of alcohol .
I'd be disappointed if he retired too...but I just don't know that Kess can keep up the pace that Joe brings.Originally Posted by OwnedByPacstraightleft
Kessler is fast mind you...but Joe just comes at you from all angles & "pitter pat" or not he ends up dropping the curtain on you.Originally Posted by Dark Lord Al
Nothing boring about that.

Id like to add that this fight also has the potentail for being a cracker, i wouldn rule out Kessler's power just because the genetical freak of nature Andade didn go down. Kessler is a built Fuka and he might try to Bully Joe. If thats the case the fight could be real exciting as Joe wont take kindly to being manhandled.Originally Posted by wacko3205

Kessler will have to keep that jab in Joe's face and stop him from coming in with those flurries i think this will be dawning of a new dominant champion and i know your fan of both Wacko i do agree that Kessler will have problems with Calzaghe's workrate but i have noticed a weakness with Calzaghe and its that he gets caught with right hands i've seen this in fights with Reid, Woodhall, and few other fights aswell and Kessler does have pretty good right hand bomb to drop on Calzaghe's chin this will be a classic boxing match and goodluck to both fighters to be honest i may of slated Calzaghe in the past but i do want him to do well so im not really bothered who wins Wacko may the best man win is all i can say.Originally Posted by wacko3205
I don't really think so. He's an old man (boxing wise) with a completely crap hand. The excuses are already set. To be fair, at this stage, he should be facing fellow geriatrics not a guy like Kessler.Originally Posted by hitmandonny
And if he doesn't beat Kessler this time he'll never beat him so there'd be no point in a rematch.. unless it's an absolute classic and everyone wants it again, of course.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
his bluffing, why would you retire after one fight. he should atleast go for a rematch. joe doesn't appear too confident beating kessler.
Statistically he's an old man, but he's looked after himself so i don't think he's aged that much, similarly to Hopkins i gues in that it is largely due to a healthy diet and plenty of excercise out of training. The hands are the one worry. Funnily enough in his tougher recent fights (as in quality opponent.) he didn hurt his hands against Lacy or Bika, he managed to hurt them against tune-ups Manfredo and Ashira. So it is a possability that the hands tend to injure when Joe gets careless.Originally Posted by Fenster
Anyway, what i was trying to say originally was, if Joe feels that retirement is looming and a loss would bring on retirement even earlier he will be highly motivated for this fight.
I think he'll retire undefeated.

Not too confident sounding to me either, and talking about retiring just cause' you lose is a quitter attitude to me. Sounds like he's already getting excuses ready in case he loses. I'm old, my hands are arthritic, I lost passion, my dog died,Originally Posted by Julius Rain
