It's a good 'en. I like Mitchell alot and I think he'll knock Carl out in the middle rounds in a pretty decent fight.

This will be a superb fight. Mitchell looks to have a decent dig and a decent chin which will be well and truely tested. Seeing as he's much fresher than Carl I pick him. Wouldn't be surprised if it turned out like Gomez-Arthur though.

I think it will be close, i think Mitchell will edge it more fresher and in the fights i seen him go 12 he can do it and keep busy quite easy, i think his dig is way over rated and he doesnt hit that hard imo.

    12rd ud Mitchell.

Agreed really rate Kevin Mitchell, he reminds me of Terry Norris in some ways, this is a cracking domestic fight. His hardest fight to date and he will have to earn his victory against Johanneson. He should forget Amir Khan and concentrate on dominating his divsion which looks very exciting..

I reckon Mitchell hits plenty hard enough to gain peoples respect

And in this fight, Johanneson's chin is a bit dodgy, so I defintely think Mitchell can hurt him.

January 12th is a smudge over a month away, yet the volume of great fights over the past few months means I haven't really considered much about this one.

Here's an article from the promoter's website with both sides talking the good fight. Once Saturday is out of the way, we can really prepare to start anticipating this one.

I think a Mitchell win, in which he comes through on some of that potential and excitement he has shown previously would be great for the sport in Britain, as he's a fan favourite with a good style to watch.

This one could be just as good if not better than the Gomez v Johanneson fight.

I agree. I think if Mitchell wins this he can't be that far away from the Arthur/Foster Jr. winner in my opinion.

What I'm wondering is what happens if Johanneson wins. He's already been destroyed on the Euro stage, so I think if he wins he'll just have beaten another over-hyped Warren fighter, and not that many people will sit up and take notice. But I think Mitchell provides him with a real challenge whether he wins or not. Definitely not a snoozer.

I know...we can't seem to shake a stick at the British boxing scene at the moment without finding yet another mouthwatering fight promising great excitement, even if the slick skills aren't always there.
