I still don't like this. One problem I have with scoring is my baised scoring (when I like one fighter over the other) I will give a close round to the guy I like and I think most judges and fans do the samething. I hardly score rounds even and I hardly see anyone else do the same. Sometimes, I am like damn, that was a close round and I don't know who to give that round to, I should be scoring that as an even round and I dont. I automaticly give it to the person I like most. lol Anyone else guilty of this? I think a lot of us are because it is only human and part of the sport that makes it fun to have a favorite and or be rooting for someone (Not always the case but majority of the time) Me thinks.

I think this is like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound.Another half witted "Idea" to give the appearance of Fixing what is obviously a broken system.The best and most obvious solution is accountability for Incompetent judges and Uniformed Training for every official affiliated with the sport.
The WBA specifically has experimented with things alot as far as scoring so no points off for Trying.They pushed an "extra round" Ala the UFC years ago,If draw is declared at bouts end,then you go to Immediate odd round.A short time ago they practiced Open scoring in a 12 rounder with scores announced in 4 round volleys.There is no doubt this practice can effect the tempo and strategies of The boxers and Corners alike who should be fully focused on the effects their opponent is having on them instead.
The first fight I ever scored live (on T.V) that went to a decision was in Nov. of 1991,Michael carbajal vs. Jesus Chong and looking back it shows what MY biggest problem was ...The dreaded even round.I had 3 even rounds and scored the 8th 10-9 Carbajal regardless of a knockdown that Carbajal scored as Chong battled back strong in my eyes.Without that I would have had FOUR even.That just nuts.I have tried numerous ways since and can honestly say that Bias and Favorite fighter standings do not come into play.I find that dividing the round up into 3 and scoring it minute by minute is full proof guarantee for non even rounds but then of course you have Knockdowns and point deductions for them as well as fouls?
Also the 10 point must system needs fine tuning.If fighter A dominates 2/3 Rd's and suffers a flash knockdown buy fighter B..I see it 9-9??Ive actually had rounds 6-7 on occasion with multiple knockdowns.It really comes down to Universal guidelines and training......& ACCOUNTABILITY.

Put the judges in isolation booths with video feeds from multiple angles, and no commentary. I agree with Spicoli they need to hold not only judges more accountable but they need a better review board to look at suspect calls. Like the NFL has in place(Mike Pererra) they review all the controversial calls and confront ref's and judges when necessary. The ref's that have good records get to go to the playoffs and superbowl etc, once a year hold a meeting with officials and review any concerns and work as a whole to correct them.

They dont understand that it isn't the scoring system that is flawed, its the judges. They're just complicating the scoring imo.

I think they should go additional round if fight ends in Draw.

The draw is almost as bad as the dreaded...No Contest. I dont understand it really, you pay your money to see a fight, and you want to see a winner and a loser some sort of accomplishment and all you get is nothing changed, the venue still gets your money. The promoters get the rematch, all it is, is a waste of my money. I agree but maybe only for title fights or 10 and 12 rounders. The young guys starting out and beginning pros shouldnt get forced into unnecessary rounds, they could get hurt.
