Default Its Froch v Irkin in a WBC Eliminator!!

Unbeaten super middleweight Carl 'The Cobra' Froch has been awarded an elimination fight with Russia's Dennis Inkin for the right to become mandatory challenger to Joe Calzaghe's WBC Championship.

Could be a good scrap i havent seen Irkin but i heard hes a banger could be in for a exciting short scrap!!

    Looks a great match-up.

Inkin beat him in the amateurs but Froch had him on the deck.

A lot will depend on where the fight takes place, I guess.

This sounds like a natural step forward to Froch, and although both fighters are undefeated, I think we can safely say that they are both also yet to face real top-class opposition. Inkin seems to be a bit of a banger, as Froch is, so I think that the natural conclusion is that Froch might eke out a boring narrow points decision it'll be a fairly quick affair, Froch by KO in the sixth maybe.

I'm still backing my prediction that Calzaghe will vacate, and depending on how long it takes him to do that, this fight could swiftly be converted to a fight for the vacant WBC title.
