    Default Hatton hype is over

Thank god the Hatton hype is over. He did really try hisheart out, but at best he's a B level fighter that cannot beat any of the top 4 guys at 147. The only down side to this whole thing is that it was PBF that handed him his azz, now we will never stop hearing how great and under appreciated he is (pBF). I mean what did he accomplish , he beat a B level fighter (B level = Brawler) who i gave zero chance of beating him and i mean zero chance. I'm also really happy in the way that Hatton lost which was by KO, because if he had finish the fight on his feet he would have been given too much credit just for lasting 12 rds. And what i enjoyed the most is the heart break of his CULTISH fans who would go as far as comparing him to the greats of the past which they have no right doing since Hattons name doesnt belong in the same sentence with yesterdays greats.

    Another ridiculous post

There is no hype with Hatton

He has won 4 recognised world belts, was ring magazine fighter of year 2 years ago, and he is ring champion still at LWW

Challenging the P4P #1 at a higher weight and losing does not mean he is hyped, simply means he is a champion but not as good a Chamion as Mayweather. It also means he has the courage to fight the very best which is commendable

There's no disgrace in that my friend, I bet any one of us would be proud of ourselves, wouldnt you

This post is idiotic, He lost to the very best in any weight class and fought real close with him up until then and you tell me that hatton is a b level fighter..

You musta never fought a round in your life..

Hatton is a great fighter and sure he lost but great fighters come back and he will be back

This is a fucking daft topic. The lad is the best fighter in his weight class, stepped up a weight division to fight someone who is now being regarded as one of the all time greats and loses a fight in which he gave a decent account of himself. Hatton was never hyped, his popularity comes from his no frills approach and the fact that he is a normal, working class English bloke that you could imagine being happy to talk to anyone and have a chat down the pub.

The only thing that is thankfully over after last night is Mayweather Sr. Hopefully his raging jealousy of his son will now boil over to the point that he considers offing himself.

Sorry boys, i just never rated him, i always thought he was just a brawler and after lastnight it showed that when a competent referee, refs his fight and dont let him get away with his MMA tactics he has no other plan. An A level fighter always has a plan B fellas. Educated pressure my azz. You idiots should stick to MMA if you wanna see holding and hitting, this is prize fighting the art of power or finnesse.

....by discrediting Hatton you discredit how well Mayweather did.

So if you are a Mayweather fan, which I assume you are, you are not helping how everyone else views your fighter.

Ricky Hatton put up a good hard fight and gave Floyd all he could handle for 9 rounds and I had Floyd only up by 1 round and I'm not Ricky Hatton superfan either.

I find it utterly ridiculous that any BOXING FAN would come on here and berate a fighter for going up against the world recognized #1 pound for pound fighter both those guys fought their hearts out and someone came up short.

Any true fan respects the hard work and the danger of the fight game and if Hatton had won and everyone was bitching at Mayweather fans I would post the same thing. But in all seriousness give these fighters some respect because they deserve it.

No i am not a PBF fan it will make me sick to my stomache to hear him go on about how great he is after beating Hatton who is at best a B level opposition .PBF will have to face and defeat Miguel Cotto, Shane Mosley or even a big WW like margarito before i give him props an ATG. PBF knew the risk was low for taking on someone who was clearly not close to being in his league. If you want to be considered the best, then guess what ? u have to fight the best, and guess what again ? Hatton is not close to being the best.

lol Dont break out in a political rave now. Think you need to just admit that your wrong about Hatton.

If your the only person that has that opinion. It Generally means you are wrong.

I didn't say they weren't. I was just pointing it out as everybody seemed to assume you are a dude.

I am sure theres alot of PBF fans that feel the same as i do, but they will never admit it because it will take away from his victory last night, so they will never admit that Hatton was a B level lower risk opponent. Instead PBF fans will want u to beleive that Hatton was the most dangerous opponent out there and not Cotto and Margarito or even Paul Williams (A.K.A Stretch)

Whilst I don't agree with your original post, there is no doubt in my nor any sane fight fans mind that Hatton was not a top WW.This fight proved that beyond a doubt and those fighters you mentioned are far far more dangerous propositions at WW. It was a great fight,I've made a thread congratulating Floyd myself,it was a great performance BUT,he needs to fight a legit, top WW now.
