I was always curious how a boxer with impaired vision be allowed to fight, I guess this article portrays mundine for who he really is a fake & a drama queen.

haha am I the only one who finds it hilarious that a doctor would use language like that. Only in Australia it seems.

Anthony fought some bum last night and the doctors here were saying via the main papers that the boxing federation should call off the fight becuse it was so one sided against the Argentinian who always gets a hiding over here whoever he fights and now they got him going for Australias top man in the weight!

I didnt need a doctor to tell me Mundine talked bullshit, he does it non stop.
The boy can box tho, and all his shit talking helps put bums on seats. Apparently he has called out Danny Green for another fight, which would be a big money bout in oz. I think he wins an easy points decision again. I think he could give a few of the up and comers in the 168 division a schooling.

I always disliked Mundine (seeing him KO'd by featherfisted Ottke is one of my favorite memories in boxing). That being said, when I heard about his unfortunate eye injury, I felt genuine sympathy for the guy. Now it turns out he was bullshitting us and trying to garner sympathy?? I have a sudden urge to watch his fight with Ottke again...

He was not bullshitting about the eye, i know that for a fact as my dads uncle is really good friends with tony mundine. That was legit and yes he fought a bum last night...the same bum sam soliman fought and paul briggs fought yet no one cared about that.

As Eagle said, you don't need six years of medical training to know Mundine is full of shit.

And why call out Danny Green? He already outclassed him last year, so what would be the point of that other than some more easy coin.

If Mundine is interested in being the best he should be calling out Kessler or Calzaghe. But he's not, he's interested in money. It's kind of rich, last week he was in the press hanging shit on Cathy Freeman (Australian aboriginal 400metres gold medalist at the Sydney Olympics) for being too tied up with endorsements in corporate Australia and Mundine has just shown that he's all about the green himself.

There was an article in todays press where Jeff Fenech said that Mundine could be the greatest unfulfilled talent in boxing. If he keeps fighting bums like last nights and guys he's beaten before, Jeff may have a point.

Seriously, his performance against Sam Soliman was sensational - he needs to build on that, not look for easy pay days til retirement.
