    Default Will Hatton Fight Again?

    Hello All

Managed to get onto this forum, as I found the other one has closed down,

Just wondering as I am getting alot of mixed talk about this subject, and just want to verify the correct answer, I honestly hope that Hitman does not retire, But if he does he has done all his fans proud, Will Hatton be back to fight again?? Im away alot due to my job as a Royal Marine, So i cant get on much but i listen to what i can on the radio etc. Get back to me im back home till 30th.

    Regards Gaz

Not a doubt in my mind he'll be back. He said himself "I'll die before I end on a loss." I hope his next fight will be moving down to 140 to shut Paulie Malignaggi up and then to shut Junior Witter up. I see Ricky fighting for another year and calling it quits.

without a doubt, i think if hes fighting at 140 again he should take witter on first, a home bout could possibly the highest attended boxing event ever and the win would give extra confidence, then maggallini.
if its this way more people will be in a position to travel again

Yes definitely, even Ricky said he'd rather die than go out on a defeat.

He has already stated he would rather die than retire on a loss so theres your answer right there.

Welcome to the forum stick around.

I don't see any reason for Ricky to retire unless he feels that mentally, he just can't do it any more, and I don't think that Ricky has the same mental instability that sent Naseem Hamed crashing after his first defeat.

After all, there's no disgrace in losing to the p4p best fighter in the world at the present time. Witter, Malignaggi, whoever it is I'm sure Ricky will be even more fired up to go out there again.

What does worry me is that Hatton suggested they might look at a rematch with Mayweather, and I don't think that'd be a good option for him. Two defeats on the bounce to PBF could end his career, and send him into retirement on a double-loss.
