Default pavliks own boxing insight on hatton a link to how he could fight joe?

''On a more objective note, middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik voiced the view, “Hatton is a pressure fighter. He has the style to beat Mayweather but not the punch. When Hatton gets into position to do damage, he can’t do the job with one punch. He wears his opponents down, but he won’t hit Mayweather enough to do that.”''

im quite impressive with pavliks take on the fight b4 it was actully fought,i have a feeling if he does fight calzaghe his aim will be similar to hatton. His jab as long as he uses it better than rick did should work him into place to put joe on the ropes, unlike ricky though he does have one punch power. i would love this to happen
    any opinons?

Actually i slightly disagree with Pavlik on this part.

Hatton is a pressure fighter. He has the style to beat Mayweather

Swarming style is not the way to beat Mayweather.

i can see where pavlik is coming from and what he's saying does make sense.....but i'm with ICE on this one.

Swarming aint guna do it against Mayweather.

I'm not sure how you beat him but i'm pretty sure swarming aint the way.

Hatton never had the style or the skill to beat Mayweather. And he never will. You make Mayweather-Hatton 10 times. Hatton gets smashed 10 times. And each fight would end sooner than the previous one.

    trudat

basically all Hatton was doing was stopping Mayweather from being that effective...

obviously as the fight goes on, hatton get's more tired and Mayweather becomes very effective.

thus the term....'up shits creek without a paddle'

If Hatton fought Floyd 10 times it would go exactly like VD said; 10 losses. The compilation film after 10 fights against Floyd would look like a pinball game, Hatton being the pinball Pavlik's chances against Joe are much better than Hatton's were against Floyd; as Pavlik at least knows how to use a great jab and IMO has a better defense than Hatton. Plus reach, which Ricky never has on anyone. And as good as Joe is, he is no Floyd.
