Default Tye Fields deserves a title shot

"Big Sky" puts on another strong performance tonight as he completely destroys Koval in just 43 seconds. Its now time for someone at the top of the heavyweight division to step up to the challenge and give Tye a bout. If they don't do it on their own, Tye truly deserves to be named a mandatory challenger and given a shot at the title. Its a joke how everyone has been able to run from him for so long and no one in the sport is doing anything to correct this injustice.

I know most people hate on him but his record certainly warrants a decent opponent at least.

I'd love to see him fight Hasim Rahman, that would be a great fight to gaueg where both fighters are at this point in their careers.

Fields vs Rahman is a natural fight to make imo.

Hats off to you Tye...You not only fought tonight but managed to find time to post on a boxing forum ......

Here is an idea how about beating a ranked fighter

How about the fact he is 6'9 1/2 and his best win is over a SHOT Bruce Seldon.....Fields was starched by a guy with 2 pro fights when he was undefeated with like 18 or 19 fights....That was the guys LAST win.....

Wlad would starch Tye inside of 2 rds...the guy has the worst defense I have Ever seen....he fights not only bums but ones without pulses.....This has to be a joke

strangely enough he seems to have a decent workrate/stamina, that's about it though.

    You beat me to it.

Why not, give him a title shot so he can get splattered and we can all move on. Send him back to Montana in a box please, someone?

I will give him that much he does throw a lot of punches...not only just for a HW but CW LHW even SMW...I think for a while he averaged 100 punches a rd....But fact is on the elite level you can not fight with your hands at your waist...Throwing slower then a snail on heroine...and expect to be able to be in with guys like Peter, Wlad, Chagev or even Sultan who will eat him alive...it would be nothing more then target practice...even the guys on the way out like Rahman, Oleg and Briggs will make easy work of him.....

Obviously, Peter, Vlad, Chagev, Sultan, Rahman, Oleg, and Briggs don't feel so confident....otherwise, they wouldn't continue to dodge Tye and avoid the humilation which would be delivered.

Yeah you keep telling yourself that...Chagaev was in with the biggest man to ever wear a title and he is supposed to be afraid of Tye?
Sultan is facing the best HW in the world nesat outing and he is afraid of Tye?
Peter hits harder then Tyes car would if he ran a fighter over....
Rahman has been in with the best HW in the last 25yrs twice
Oleg is a world champion....but all are afraid of Tye "most people beat their meat harder then I punch" Fields....

How about Tye beating 1 ranked fighter just 1....and I promise none are avoiding him....

Tel;l you what last I checked Jameel McClines card was empty and he is looking for someone to take his frustrations out on from the Peter decision....

Jameel has been in with Wlad, Valuev, and Peter so fear is not a problem he has....
